Another Ford Galaxy with a poorly ECU.

This car has been driving the poor customer mad not starting, intermittently cutting out, going up hill like it was trying to do the triple jump etc.

Body control wasn’t happy with quite a few modules in this one, but she looked in good shaped when I had a quick stripped down.

Now to find a Donor ECU that we can clone to get the customer back up and running.

Back in the game!

This time to a no start Renault traffic. Unfortunately this engine ain’t ever gonna start regardless of how many codes scans you do or delete.

Relative compression Test made easy work of this diagnosis. As you can clearly with the squiggly lines.

Poor engine needs to go see the engine doctor.

It’s not all bad though being on the road, we also got to see some beautiful little puppies. 🐶

New video up! 🎬🎥📺

In this video we are looking at an intermittent hard starting Ford S-max mainly on cold mornings.
With a quick code scan we find no faults codes present and the car starts first time when its in the workshop.

1.So does this mean our testing is done?
2.Is the customer not telling the truth?
3.Can we use just a few more basic checks to test known systems that cause intermittent no start or hard starting issues?
Or
4.Should we just hand the vehicle back to the customer because the code scanner say there's no codes stored and the vehicle started.

This poor Ford - Iveco! had quite the BBQ going on under its dash.

We don’t specialise in Commercials anymore and we had no access to current vehicle wiring diagrams. But with a bit of patience and some time well spent going through it methodically, and one wire at a time! we managed to get the motor back up and running with no current faults either on first initial test after repair.
Then road tested and ready to go! 😜

Still going strong and customer reports back and he is happy.
