Gas hob and Oven installation

With all connections securely fitted and fully tested. A full tightness test was carried out to confirm the installation is safe and leak-free, followed by operational checks to ensure everything was working correctly.

All work was completed in compliance with current gas safety regulations.

Midlands Gas Flow System Boiler + Tank Upgrade conversion - Combi Part 2

Combi Boiler Installation

New pipework installed with Magnafilter, Cold and hot water supply pipes also added to system. Gas pipe fitted and tightness tested.

Boiler flue connected and sealed. Fused spur added for new Thermostat

Smart thermostat installed and setup. Customers phone also added to thermostat connection allowing remote use from mobile phone.

Super pleased with results as we were put in a very tight spot having to make boiler fit into existing Cabinet with very little room for error

Midlands Gas Flow System Boiler + Tank Upgrade conversion - Combi Part 1

Removal of Tank + Removal of Boiler

Boiler had failed and upon inspection was beyond economical repair, some parts were also now obsolete. Customer was advised and opted for a combi conversion

Hot water cylinder removed and pipework converted to allow compatibility with the upgraded combi boiler due to be installed.

Boiler removed alongside room stat and wiring for new thermostat put in its place

Loft Tank also capped and removed

🔧 Call-Out: Boiler Leak 💧

Attended an emergency call-out on a today for a leaking boiler worcester 2000. Water was pooling under the unit and pressure was dropping fast. Traced the issue to a DCW Manifold and some corroded pipework. Parts replaced, system tested, and back up and running safely.

Another happy customer and one more potential disaster avoided!

What Causes It?
Adding new appliances without resizing the gas system

Poor planning or incorrect sizing during installation

Long pipe runs without proper pressure compensation

When a pipe is too small, it can't deliver enough gas to meet the demand. This can cause appliances to malfunction or run inefficiently—and in some cases, allow unburnt gas to accumulate. That’s not just inconvenient—it’s potentially life-threatening.

Solution:
Always use proper gas pipe sizing charts, consider the total BTU load, and factor in distance. If you’re unsure, consult a licensed gas technician or plumber to assess your system and avoid costly and dangerous mistakes.
