First BIG reduction of 2026 ✅
Sub contracting for today reducing this TPO’d Elm. It had previously been reduced 2/3 times and hit hard in some places, leaving a lot of stress growth on previous cuts. Originally it was down for 2.5m off the sides and 4m off the top, which after a discussion it was decided that was too much and would cause unnecessary stress on a tree this rare with Dutch Elm disease leaving only a few left.
I cant recall ever reducing an Elm tree, certainly not one of this size. A heavy, but good 5.5hrs in the harness. 🌳
