Hi, only a few days left to book places for Monday's Grand Prix sessions. 7 places left for the 2pm session and 6 left for the 3:30.

School Holiday Event.
Many thanks to everyone for your comments and shares, it looks like there is a lot of interest so I've now put up booking options on the website (www.jrracing.co.uk).
You will need to go into "Shop" and look for the "School Event" option and then go through the ordering process for the time slot you would like noting there are only 12 slots available in each and it will be first come first served.
After some initial feedback we have dropped the price to £12.50 per racer for these first few sessions.
If they book up very quickly we will look to put on some more sessions during the half term week.

Happy 2018 all.
We completed our first JR Racing party of 2018 and are now booking up for February which is great.
We're also exciting about something a little different in the pipeline for our Guernsey racers. For anyone struggling to think of something to do during the school holidays we are now putting the final touches to a JR Racing half term Grand Prix. We are looking to put on mini Grand Prix's lasting an hour each. We are looking to start with 2 sessions on Monday the 19th Feb during the afternoon but could open up more if there is demand.
We will take groups of 12 per session (age 7 and over) at a cost of £15 per racer. As it is just for an hour we will throw in some caffeine hits for the grown ups..
Booking will be available soon on the JR Racing website (www.jrracing.co.uk) but it would be great to get a feel for interest now.
If this is something that you'd be keen on doing please let me know here or message me. Please also share with anyone that you think would be up for a racing challenge during half term.

Another busy weekend coming.
We are running a birthday party on Saturday and we'll also be at the Classic Car Show at Saumarez Park on Sunday.
The Guernsey Radio Controlled Car Club will be putting on their usual display with an assortment of nitro and electric powered vehicles but I'll also be setting up a 1/18th track there, for the first time, for the public to come and try their hand at RC Racing..
The show opens to the public at 11am and goes through until 5pm.

We had the pleasure in running a small race event for the Guernsey Cheshire Homes on Saturday. It's a fantastic charity caring for islanders with severe physical disability caused by anything from multiple sclerosis and motor neurone disease to physical injury and arthritis.
We provided a small simple track for our 1/18th scale cars and helped some of the residents have a crack at putting some laps down. There were a few thrills and spills but all of the folks that had a go had a great time. It was also really nice for us to be able to put a little time into providing them with something that most of them will never have had a go with before. A special mention has to go to Colin, Mike, Jenny, Charlie and Elaine who put in some great track time.
A special mention also has to go to the staff and volunteers that work with this charity and charities like it. The care they provide is fantastic and it's through their hard work and dedication that these guys have as much independence and dignity as possible.

Hi all, apologies for being a bit quiet on here recently. The Christmas period was quite busy with pressies to sort and track work to do but into 2017 now and really looking forward to the year ahead.
Some new supply lines up and running and new kits and parts coming onto the market quite frequently now. Also looking at some exciting new JR Racing events to put on alongside the birthday party event which proved more popular last year than I'd ever have predicted so watch this space as plans develop. It'll be great to share our little RC world with more and more people.
The thing I need to mention now is that I've had quite a few party enquiries for Feb and into March so if you are thinking of booking a JR Racing birthday party please get in touch soon to secure the date you want noting that Saturday afternoons are the ideal but can occasionally spill into Sunday afternoons if needed depending on our own race calender.
Lastly, for now, we've had a number of new racers join the GRCCC in various classes having got the bug through the parties. A big thank you to you for your support and a bigger well done for some great racing after such a short time.

A very busy night at the GRCCC 1/18th meeting with all the JR Racing cars in action with some very good racing indeed. Great to see the newcomers getting quicker and quicker. A special shout to Mike Moyse from our sister club in Jersey who just so happened to be in Guernsey on race night (funny that!) making it straight into the A final.
Time for a brew and a sit down before starting the prep work for back to back birthday parties on Saturday.

Now that it's getting colder and the risk of rain is ever more likely there is no better time to book a JR Racing RC party.
We've had a busy start to the autumn already with 2 full weekends of parties and events and November is pretty much fully booked. If you are interested in a party as we move into winter we recommend booking soon to secure the date you would like.
If you know of any budding Lewis Hamiltons please share so they can get in touch.
