So doing a lovely little cottage at moment in staindrop,literally two minutes from Raby castle! Going to a wedding? Event? Its walking distance! 5 minutes tops! Sixteen minutes to bishop auckland and nine minutes to Barnard castle! You also have all little quirky villages in between! Moorcock Inn, Eggleston do lovely sunday dinners! They are very welcoming, they do parmo nights,burger/ curry nights! List goes on! Jo is very accomodating!! Blacksmiths arms in Mickelton do a massive tasty pizza! Oh and proper pork scratchings! Fresh out of machine,still warm! Barnard castle has most amazing fish and chip shop 149 absolutely unreal!! Be prepared to queue!! Stanhope amazing ice cream! Reccomend the biscoff lol! Very central! Lovely enclosed garden for bbq and chill time! They are opening up as a holiday let from next month! Decorated to a high standard! Can't wait to see the furniture etc.. go in! Perfect little bolt hole! Highly reccomend!
