LORDSWOOD - It’s been a busy couple of days prepping this property for rental.

An EICR flagged up a damaged section of cable on the kitchen sockets, as well as multiple loose connections in other sockets throughout the house.

The consumer unit was upgraded along with a change of electrical accessories to give the house a fresh look.

Loose neutral termination on a cooker switch.

A couple of issues with borrowed neutrals and earths (CPCs) used as switched lives. These were removed from service and replaced with wireless kinetic switches (surface wiring, lifting floors and cutting ceilings for access were not an option for the customer).

Damaged light switch posing a potential danger.
