2026 growth plans well underway 🚐⚡

Three new vans delivered today for the expanding Ben Wood Group team.

These will now undergo full BWG branding and fit out before heading out onto projects nationwide.

• 2 x for new starters joining the business
• 1 x upgraded van for an existing engineer

🚆 New Project Commenced For RMTS

We have commenced works on a new Train Wheel Lathe project for RMTS

Our engineers are carrying out the containment installation and all control wiring associated with the new machinery installation.

As part of the installation, bespoke bends and sets are being manufactured on site to suit the containment routes and machine layout requirements.

Another great industrial project to be involved in within the rail sector and we look forward to sharing progress as works continue.

⚡️ Contract Secured ⚡️

We have secured a multi-site package of remedial works within ATEX hazardous areas and ammonia plant rooms for a major cold storage company.

These environments require specialist knowledge, strict compliance and experienced engineers, we are proud to continue supporting the cold chain industry across the UK.

The project will involve electrical remedial works, hazardous area compliance improvements and supporting operational reliability across multiple live facilities.

A great achievement for our growing ATEX division and another step forward in strengthening long term partnerships within the cold storage sector.

Recently completed EV charging infrastructure upgrade for a valuable client

Scope of works included:

- Installation of 5 x Easee EV chargers
- Installation of Matt load management systems
- New distribution equipment and infrastructure upgrades
- Steel containment and cable management
- Vehicle protection barriers and bay protection
- Testing, commissioning and certification

A clean and future-proof installation completed by the team, ensuring the client has a reliable EV charging solution with capacity management in place for continued expansion.

⚡️ Project completed for one of our industrial clients.

Our engineers recently carried out the replacement of a 550KW motor, including full re-termination of the motor cabling and installation of new contactors to ensure reliable operation and minimal downtime.

Works completed safely and efficiently with the plant returned back into operation as quickly as possible.

⚡️ Emergency Breakdown

Early hours call out this morning to a major LV panel failure.

Our engineers were on site immediately and worked tirelessly under pressure to get the situation under control and minimise downtime.

🔧 Fault identified and isolated
🔌 Generator installed to maintain critical operations
⚡️ Temporary distribution panel set up to safely restore power

Thanks to the team’s effort and experience, the site is now back to full operation.

We’re pleased to be starting a new project for a valuable client, supporting the upgrade of their EV charging infrastructure.

Scope of works includes:

⚡️ Project Secured 💡

Great to secure a new lighting project on a large-scale industrial site over 700 light fittings being installed as part of a full electrical infrastructure package.

We’ll be delivering:
• Full containment installation
• 3-phase busbar system across the facility
• Power distribution throughout
• High-level installation working at circa 8m

Over 1600m lighting bus bar

Another fast-paced project exactly the type of work our team thrives on. Preparation, coordination, and delivery will be key to keeping everything running smoothly.
