Obviously I can tell you that my work is lovely…but I may be slightly biased 😂

So, here’s what people who have actually bought or commissioned artwork from me think.

Honestly, it means so much that anyone takes the time to leave words like these, and even more knowing that something I’ve created is now bringing a little joy or calm into their home. 💚

Have a swipe if you’ve been wondering whether to order from me… 👀🌿

This is Meadow Lodge… the place where Rebsey Art Studio quietly began, long before I knew that was what I was creating. 🌲

It started with one very little, very imperfect doodle, painted simply because I wanted to capture how this place made me feel.

That tiny painting planted a seed. Meadow Lodge went on to inspire so much of my work, including Where the Light Finds Us, an original painting now available at Fox Yard Studio and the A Home That Waits design.

Some places stay with us. They call us back, remind us who we are and somehow feel like home, however long we’ve been away.

I’d love to know, where calls you back? 🤍

I haven’t painted very much this summer and honestly, I’m completely okay with that.

Running a creative business around the school holidays can be a juggle. But these weeks have been filled with days out, noisy moments, slow mornings, endless snack requests and memories with my boys.

My paints and my little studio will still be waiting when they go back to school. But this version of summer, with them exactly as they are now, won’t come around again.

I’m beginning to miss my paints, but I’m not wishing these days away. I already know how quiet September will feel and how much I’ll miss having them beside me.

The paintings can wait. These days can’t. 🤍

Who else is holding on to every last bit of summer?

The Artemis Collection is finally online 🌙🌲

And when I say finally… I mean this collection made its real-world debut in July and has been patiently waiting for me to actually put it on my website ever since 😂

Inspired by Artemis; the Greek goddess of the wilderness and protector of women and children. These five original watercolours explore the strength, sanctuary and freedom we find among the trees.

A moonlit journey.
A guarded clearing.
A night glowing through the darkness.
A mother held among the pines.
And a woman quietly following her own path.

The woods have always felt like more than a landscape to me. They’re somewhere to breathe, to feel grounded and to find my way back to myself… and that feeling sits at the heart of this collection.

Each painting is a one-of-a-kind original, created using professional watercolours on FSC-certified paper, presented in an FSC-certified mount and black frame, ready to hang.

The full Artemis Collection is now available at RebseyArtStudio.com 🌲

Send this to someone who, like me, feels most at home among the trees 🤍

Auntie Becky’s biggest fan 🥹❤️

My dad happened to buy the Gazette & Herald today and discovered that Rebsey Art Studio… and my enormous face 😂… had made it into the paper. I had absolutely no idea it was being published!

Then my sister-in-law went straight out to buy another copy and sent me this photo of my gorgeous niece, Amy, reading all about Auntie Becky 🥹

I call her Amy Flamey because she is fiery, bossy and absolutely destined to be unstoppable 💪🏻🔥 So it feels especially perfect to have her proudly holding a story about the Female Business Awards, and seeing what the women in her life can do.

Being named a finalist in both the New Business and Creative Business categories feels completely surreal. But honestly, this photo might be my favourite part of the whole thing.

Here’s to the next generation of unstoppable women ❤️

Apparently, being on summer holiday means my brain has decided it’s the perfect time to start thinking about Christmas 2026. 🎄😂

As this is becoming a bit of a tradition, I’m starting to plan this year’s Christmas collection.

Current challenge? Reindeer anatomy.

More specifically, trying to work out why I can paint an entire woodland scene but apparently can’t draw a reindeer’s head in proportion. 🤦🏻‍♀️

The reality behind every finished design is usually a page full of questionable sketches, lots of rubbing out and at least one moment where I wonder what possessed me to start.

But I think we’re getting there…

What designs would you like to see this year? Or is it too early?!

Controversial opinion from someone who paints nature for a living… I hate the beach. 😂

There. I said it.

I hate sand. I hate the feeling of it on my skin. I hate that it gets EVERYWHERE. Just thinking about sandy feet makes me shudder.

Give me a quiet woodland, towering trees and a forest floor any day. That’s where I find my peace.

But the boys? They LOVE it.

So yesterday I sat on the sand, got my paints out and watched Chip completely in his element.

The sea might not be my peaceful place, but I can recognise it in someone else.

I started playing with the colours and composition while he was in the water; nothing precious, just a little doodle in my sketchbook. And that’s where so many of my paintings begin. A few colours. A shape. A feeling I want to remember.

And these photos do hold lovely memories. But, because Instagram is Instagram, they’re also not the whole story. 😂 There were tired children, sandy everything, and Teddy rounded the afternoon off with an epic meltdown because his shoes were wet and sandy. Which, to be fair, I had some sympathy with. 🤦🏻‍♀️

So, important question: beach or woodland?
And choose carefully. 🌲😂🌊

Well… this is rather exciting 🥹🏆

I can finally share that I’m a finalist in the 2026 Female Business Awards… in not one, but TWO categories!

✨ Creative Business
✨ New Business

I’ve been sitting on this news for a little while and it feels VERY good to finally be able to say it out loud 😂

Being recognised for the business side of what I do feels particularly special. There’s an awful lot that happens behind the paintings and products; designing, making, markets, galleries, wholesale, emails, spreadsheets, packing boxes, taking risks and generally making things up as I go along 😂 … so to have that work recognised means a huge amount.

I genuinely didn’t expect to be a finalist in two categories. So I’m going to allow myself to be ridiculously pleased about this one 🥹

Rebsey Art Studio Ltd — TWO-TIME Female Business Awards finalist.
Bloody hell. 💚🏆🏆

Rebsey Art Studio is now officially Rebsey Art Studio Ltd. 🙌

It still feels a AMAZING writing those words.

What started with a paintbrush, a head full of ideas, and the hope that maybe one day someone else might connect with my work has slowly grown into something I never imagined.

To everyone who has bought an original, chosen a card or tea towel, commissioned a painting, visited me at a market, stocked my work, shared a post or simply encouraged me along the way… thank you. You’ve helped make my little art dream possible 🤍

Here’s to the next chapter. 🌿

✨ Something new…

A huge thank you to my lovely friend Sharon and Saffy adventures for placing the very first order for Let’s minGO! oven gloves. It honestly means so much when friends choose to support my little business. ❤️

And another massive thank you to Magic Textiles for bringing another of my designs to life so beautifully. The quality is exactly what I’d hoped for, and seeing my artwork become something people can use every day never gets old.

I’m thinking these might deserve a place on the website… 👀

Would you be interested in Rebsey Art Studio oven gloves? If so, which design would you choose first?
