💧 3 PONDS — FINDING OUT WHERE THE WATER IS GOING

We’ve been called in to investigate three ponds that have recently started draining far quicker than they should.

The first job is to dredge and clear the ponds, removing the build-up of silt and debris so we can properly inspect the condition of the beds and banks.

Once they’re cleared, we’ll be looking closely at why they’re losing water so quickly and whether there’s a natural leak, damaged ground or another issue causing the water to escape.

If required, we’ll also be looking at lining the ponds with specialist pond clay to help create a more effective natural seal and retain the water.

A proper investigation first, then the right solution — rather than simply throwing materials at the problem.

Turning an eyesore into a feature

Another little transformation completed by Foster Property Solutions.

This window had an exposed concrete lintel that really stood out against the beautiful stonework. Rather than plastering it over and losing the character of the opening, we clad the lintel in timber to create a simple, rustic feature that complements the existing stone and dark window frame.

The timber has been left ready for the customer to stain in their chosen finish.

Sometimes the best results come from working with what’s already there rather than covering it up.

Another fencing upgrade completed.

We removed the old, tired fencing and replaced it with a super-strong feather edge fence, built to provide excellent privacy, security and durability.

Finished off with a brand-new tongue & groove gate, complete with an upgraded security lock for that extra peace of mind.

A smart, strong and secure finish that should stand the test of time.

Another tricky leak sorted for a customer.

We were recommended to a customer who had a leak coming from underneath their pathway.

Unfortunately, the previous builder had also covered over the property’s exterior stop tap, making access difficult when it was needed.

We located both the leak and the hidden stop tap, repaired the leak and then re-surfaced the area around the stop tap to ensure it remains accessible for future use.

Another problem found, fixed and left properly finished.

Another repair completed by Foster Property Solutions

This job involved repairing a section of water-damaged ceiling and wall.

We started by carefully cutting away all the damaged plasterboard, allowing us to fully inspect the area and make sure the roof space and wall were completely dry, clean and suitable for repair.

We then:
• Replaced the damaged ceiling board, securely fixing it to the existing ceiling timbers
• Replaced the damaged wall board using the dot-and-dab method
• Re-plastered both areas to match the existing finish
• Scraped away the damaged paintwork below
• Filled and prepared any imperfections ready for decorating
• Supplied the customer with stain-blocking paint to deal with any remaining staining before they redecorate the room themselves

Another repair completed properly from start to finish, leaving the customer with a clean, sound surface ready for their final decoration.
