We are currently looking for 3 x PTS & ECS Gold Card Electricians to join a major station re-wire and relight project at Walmer Station (Station Drive, Walmer, CT14 7RN).
📅 Start Date: 24th August
📍 Location: Walmer Station, Kent
⏳ Duration: Minimum 8 weeks
Requirements:
✅ Valid PTS certification
✅ Valid ECS Gold Card
✅ Experience working on rail infrastructure projects preferred
Scope of Works:
Trunking & Conduit Installation
MDRF Tray Installation including bracketry
Cable Pulling
Glanding & Termination of SWA Cables
General station re-wire and relighting works

PTS ELECTRICIANS REQUIRED – IMMEDIATE START

We are looking for 2 x PTS Electricians with JIB/ECS Gold Cards to join a rail project starting Tuesday 28th July.

Location: Walmer Rail Site
Rate: £275 per day
Hours: 07:00 – 15:30 (9 hours paid)
Duration: Minimum 4 weeks, with the opportunity for a longer-term extension for the right candidates.

Duties:
• Installation of trunking, tray, and conduit systems
• Small armoured cable installation
• Following site procedures and completing work to a high standard

Essential Requirements:
• PTS Ticket – MUST HAVE
• JIB Gold Card / ECS Gold Card
• Previous rail electrical experience
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a rail environment

Compliance paperwork and Induction required. Candidates must arrive with valid PTS and Gold Card certification.

International Women's Day fell over the weekend. We didn't want to let it pass without saying something worth reading.

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀:
🔹 17% of UK rail workers are female
🔹 Only 2% of women in rail are in engineering roles

Over the weekend, our contractors were underground supporting ADComms on the DTUP possession.

🚧 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝗯?
Installing secondary containment for new tunnel-mounted cameras, including conduit and CMS routes.

👷‍♂️𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺?
A team of 60+ worked day and night shifts across the possession, putting in 10-hour stints from Friday evening through to early Monday morning.

✅ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁?
100% of planned works completed.

Our regulars were joined by a group of weekend warriors who stepped up when it counted. Scaffolds up, ceiling panels off, and solid graft throughout.
