Over the last few months, our tractors and vegetation management teams have been busy on various projects across the South East both on construction sites and highways. Delivering small bales of hay and straw to site to be installed as silt traps and swale aids. Completing highways hedge cutting, flail topping, cut and clears for vegetation as well as several cultivation and re seeding on flood defences, reservoir maintenance and wilding projects in Rye, Canvey Island and Bewl Water!

Nice job completed by our groundwork team for Hailsham Town Council at the Tony Tack memorial skate park. After being installed a few years ago it has been heavily used locally. It was in need of some TLC and noticeable areas were muddy where landings were to small and in need of extending. We formed and cast new extentions to the existing concrete for better landings aswell as adding a new ramp between jumps, cracks in the existing concrete were ground out and filled with epoxy resin, drainage cleared, reinstated and where soil had eroded away with time it was re topsoiled and grass seeded as per specification.

We are looking for a class 2 HGV, beaver tail driver for night work starting August for up to 6 weeks 5 nights a week, good rate of pay for the right person. This is only a temporary role on the beavertail although more positions are available for nights on Road Sweepers, tipper, grab and water bowsers. Our groundworks team had an old collapsed, blocked drain pipe connecting ditches under the cross over to a caravan park with 1 week left before opening! We were in and put in 1 day, excavating the old pipework out, re grading, installing a new twinwall 300mm pipe, backfilling and compacting with type 1, creating new headwalls out of hessian sand bags filled with drymix concrete which will eventually set hard then finally laying base course and 10mm tarmac where excavations took place. All machinery and materials in and out run on our own vehicles, maximising efficency! Well done guys one happy customer 👏 👍 😀

🚦EXCITING NEWS🚦 The first load of our CDE enviro liquid waste and waste water treatment plant has arrived with several more to come! As our sweeper fleet has grown it has become increasingly difficult to deal with the waste that they are producing. This plant will mean that as a company we can boast being able to divert 100% of the waste produced by our sweepers and tankers from landfill. The waste will go through a closed circuit washing system which will produce several aggregates that will then be re sold into the construction and civils sectors. 10mm and 20mm recycled shingle, a washed sharp sand and oversize stone ideal for haul roads and hard standings. As well as this it will pull out the organics, plastics, metals and further treat the water cleaning it enough to be re used in the plants wash cycle and be used in applications within our fleet such as our bowser vehicles. over the next month our team along with external engineers will be working hard to install the plant aswell as making modifications and installing further equipment to allow the plant to process and recycle trommel fines a (by product of the waste industry) aswell as roadsweeper, tanker and gully waste, these modifications will make the plant one of the most high tech in the South East! This is a big step forward for us here at Rideout and also for the local area with the next nearest disposal site being in the next county and over an hour away from our depot. Once operational we will also be accepting 3rd party waste to maximise the usage of the plant and reducing hundreds of road miles for other contractors in the area.
