Our team provides a full range of air conditioning, heat pump, and commercial refrigeration services. You’ll be provided with confirmed bookings on a constant basis. You will be paid on a door to door basis inclusive of all travel.

Workload will consist of a 50/50 split maintenance and reactive breakdowns.

Clear communication with customers is essential. You’ll be expected to provide reassurance by explaining the work you’ll do for them and sharing your knowledge.

You’ll be supported by a field-based Technical Manager. They’ll provide advice and assistance and can arrange additional resource on jobs that escalate in size and complexity.

About you

You’ll have at least 3 years of experience and good technical knowledge. You’ll be F-Gas certified, and preferably hold a CSCS card. Electrical Inspection and Testing (2391) qualification would be preferred but is not essential, and hold or be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check.

You’ll be confident at using your knowledge and experience to recommend best practice remedial work. You’ll have excellent communication skills, you’re prepared to go the extra mile to help a customer. You take pride in always delivering high quality work and excellent customer service.

You’ll have your own hand tools; we’ll supply specialist equipment. You’ll also have a valid UK driving licence and you’ll be available to work for at least 40-hours per week.

We have an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join the team at our continually growing installation team within a long established air conditioning installation Company as a Trainee Engineer

This is a great opportunity for an individual interested in entering the Refrigeration, Ventilation and Air Conditioning trade. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain experience in the installation, servicing and maintenance of a wide variety of equipment. For those who demonstrate aptitude for the role there will also be the opportunity to train for technical qualifications for the right candidate.

The role is mobile as all installation, service and maintenance work will be carried out at Excel Cooling Services customer’s premises.•
The basic working week is 40 hours after which authorised overtime will be paid.
The Candidate

GCSE (or equivalent) Grades A-C in Maths, English and one Science based subject
Pro-active with a keen willingness to learn essential skills necessary to become an engineer.
• Able to accommodate early starts and / or later finishes in order to complete jobs within agreed timescales.

• Able to work away from home should this be required (prior notice would be given in all instances)

• A full, valid UK driving licence is essential.

• Some working experience within the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning field would be an advantage but is not essential.

Head Office is based in Croydon and occasional travel to the office would be required.

All trainees are paid on any rate of pay while within their probation period which is then on their successful completion of the probation period will be at an hourly rate depending on experience.

Excel Cooling Services Ltd is a long established Air Conditioning and Ventilation Installation Company that design, supply, install, commission all types of air conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation systems.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Air Conditioning Installation Engineer, main duties will be the Installation of a variety of AC Units including but not limited to Daikin, Mitsubishi within a variety of different sectors from Domestic, Retail to Commercial properties.

The ideal applicant is somebody who, along with the criteria below, prides themselves on a high level of professionalism and ability to build good working relationships with colleagues and customers.

As industry standard, the applicant must be flexible to the needs of the business.

A reasonable level of technical knowledge and experience is required.

Requirements:

Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience.
F-Gas required.
Ideally holds: – IPAF, PASMA and CSCS card
Experience with VRV’s, VRF's, Splits, Multi Splits, Controls, AHU’s.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent team player.
Ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative.
Communicating with clients.
Full Driving Licence
The position will come with a company van, full card, Company Credit Card and mobile phone.
