Back to posting our work weekly. This was the removal of an old altered centre ridge with a new one then installed. Always safety first when working on these old types of roofs.

Recent build complete this week.

18m x 9m Industrial spec building with stables extension on the side.

We set our site dig out and concreted the base bolts in a few weeks prior.

The full site was dug out and stoned to height before our arrival from Robert Howie.

Shed kit was supplied by Adelphi. Out of this full build we had to re bore 1 hole. Engineering at its finest. ☀️

We are now also moving into the Solar Energy installation business. This was the first job we have done and all went perfect.

This was a roof that we removed and re-done using an 80mm composite insulated panel system. Maximum energy efficiency for this client for the future.

High performance roofing at it's best.

Cross-pressed galvanised sheeting replacement to create an airtight seal again on these drying units. Sealed together using butyl tape and 6.8mm stainless steel rivets.

These 4 sheds are all taking shape now at Highmilton farm. We have been back and forth erecting and sheeting these in the recent few months. Its an A+ having a decent site to work on when its on a farm it makes the difference.

Got to love getting back to some agricultural work and doing some cement fibre roofing.

Our last roof replacement job that we completed this year before the winter was at Dingbro Ltd's main yard in Aberdeen where we have now done all 3 roofs. 1800sqrm roof removal and replacement using a 100mm composite system.

4 layers had to be removed - the top metal profile sheet, asbestos cement fibre, glass wool insulation layer and then the asbestos liner tray. Only a certain amount was removed each day so that we were able to then apply the new 100mm sheets and make the roof watertight at the end of each day.

We created a new gutter external to the rear as the old one was internal on the wall meaning all water channelled back into the building which is not a good design. Unfortunately at the front this could not be achieved due to the parapet wall. We used plygene liners to put these gutters back to new.

The difference in thermal value now is night and day for this client.

And so our winter maintenance cleaning begins for all the buildings throughout Scotland and England that we look after.

Preventative maintenance to make sure all the gutters, roofs and drainage is clear and working as is it should be saves all our clients from having to deal with floods, lost business time and damaged goods!
