This week, we completed a balcony bird-proofing project that had been heavily affected by pigeons. Our team installed professional bird netting to prevent pigeons from accessing the area, helping to keep the balcony clean, safe, and pest-free.

We’re pleased to say the customer is extremely happy with the finished result, and another property is now protected from ongoing bird issues.

⚠️ A Reminder to Choose Your Pest Control Provider Carefully ⚠️

One of our technicians attended a site yesterday after a customer contacted us expressing concerns about the service they had received from another pest control company.

Upon arrival, we discovered several issues that raised serious concerns. Rodenticide grain had been left loose on the ground and inside bait stations, multiple active ingredients appeared to be in use, and there was no evidence of a documented CRRU-compliant risk assessment.

Laying down rodenticides is always a last resort in open areas, and practices such as these can pose unnecessary risks to non-target wildlife, pets, and members of the public. In this particular case, the customer owns a cat, making the situation even more concerning.

Our technician immediately removed all loose bait that was accessible and provided recommendations for the existing contractor to return and remove their equipment from the site.

This serves as an important reminder that when choosing a pest control provider, you should always carry out your checks. Look for companies that are members of recognised industry bodies such as the British Pest Control Association, follow CRRU guidelines, hold the correct insurances, and can demonstrate safe working practices.

Pest control isn’t just about solving a problem – it’s about doing so safely, professionally, and responsibly.

⚠️ Important Bird Team Update ⚠️

Due to the extreme temperatures and weather warnings currently in place, we have made the difficult decision to suspend all bird of prey flying operations until Friday.

The welfare of the birds is our highest priority, and with temperatures expected to remain exceptionally high over the coming days, flying would place unnecessary stress on them and could compromise their wellbeing.

As a result, any scheduled bird control visits involving our bird team this week will be postponed and rescheduled. A member of our team will be in contact to arrange an alternative date where required.

While we understand this may cause some inconvenience, we are sure our customers will appreciate that the health and welfare of the birds must always come first.

Thank you for your understanding, support, and continued trust in our services. We look forward to getting back out on site as soon as conditions are safe for both our team and the birds.

We are back on one of the largest pigeon netting projects our team has taken on to date, and we are now on the final stretch! 💪

The team have put in an incredible amount of hard work, dedication, and long hours to get us to this stage.

If all goes to plan, we are hoping to have the pigeon netting installation completed by the middle of next week.

We’re excited to have kicked off a huge bird netting project, and work is already well underway. With a total coverage area of 900m², this is one of our largest installations to date, and what you’re seeing here is just the beginning!
