Our company was first formed in May 1964 as a partnership between two brothers, subsequently in December 1975; a decision was made to become a limited liability company. 1965 saw our application for membership to the National Inspection Council (NICEIC). Happily we were accepted and we are pleased to say that we are still proudly displaying our approved status with this organisation on our advertisements to this day. We have been a member of the Electrical Contractors Association (ECA) since 1977.
Since 1964 have traded successfully with many local authorities, county councils, government offices, utility undertakings, hospital boards, the Metropolitan Police and the PSA. We have also lately been approved by the National Trust for works within their priceless buildings. Many commercial clients are included within our clientele eg. National Westminster Bank.
Over the years the size of contracts have steadily increased from a few hundred to sums exceeding a quarter of a million pounds, and throughout these years, all projects have been completed within the time-scales set us and many with written commendations on the efficiency and quality our installations.
The company is based around four contracting teams with overall control in the hands of Geoff Harding and Vernon Parker. Each team comprises a contract manager and various site supervisors.
The company has the expertise and capacity to carry out most electrical engineering projects ranging from heavy-duty switchgear, power cabling through specialised lighting and power systems to addressable fire alarm systems and security systems. Another section of the company deals with fixed installation testing and portable appliance testing to the latest regulation requirements.
