Another project completed ☑️

Nearly 6,000 blocks later, this driveway has been completely transformed, creating a smart, practical and wheelchair-accessible entrance for the owner.

A lot of work went into getting the levels, falls and access just right, while making sure the finished driveway complements the character of the property. Really pleased with how it has all come together.

A big transformation and, most importantly, one that will make a genuine difference to the owner’s everyday access.

Another job completed today, after being interrupted for a while by the inevitable moments when life gets in the way.

Thankfully, Katie and her family have been absolutely amazing customers to work for. They’ve been incredibly understanding and patient, and I’m genuinely grateful for that. As a small, everyday tradesman, sometimes getting the job done isn’t quite as straightforward as it should be, and having customers who understand that means a lot.

The new pointing has given this garden wall a completely new lease of life, and it should now be well equipped to withstand the pressure of both the British weather and the occasional human interaction! 😉🤣

My two little helpers also enjoyed getting involved with the sweeping-up and tidying, and were extremely grateful for the bag of sweets at the end! 🍬😂

Another project completed today ✔️

This project involved the complete removal of the existing render, followed by repointing with an NHL lime mortar mix to ensure the building remains breathable. Exposing the original stonework has completely transformed the appearance of this beautiful cottage and brought back so much of its character.

As with many restoration projects, a few challenges arose along the way. The original timber window heads had suffered significant water damage over the years and were beginning to rot. These were carefully replaced with reclaimed stone heads, chosen to match the cottage’s original look and preserve its character.

The windows themselves were also showing signs of age, so some restoration work was carried out to freshen them up and improve their appearance.

To finish things off, all external cables were reorganised and rerouted where possible, creating a much cleaner and tidier finish.

A big thank you to Abbi and Ashley for being fantastic clients to work for throughout the project. The endless supply of coffee and cold drinks was very much appreciated!

We’re delighted with the finished result, and it’s great to see this lovely cottage looking its best once again.
