From a cracked, unusable raised bed to a custom adventure play area! πΏπͺ΅
This project started with an old raised planter that had seen better days. The stonework was still full of character, so instead of removing it, we gave it a completely new purpose.
π¨ What we did:
β’ Removed all the old concrete and debris from inside the planter.
β’ Installed fresh sub-base and drainage.
β’ Created a winding sensory pathway using decorative gravel.
β’ Added treated timber edging for definition and durability.
β’ Installed chunky timber posts, balance blocks and rope features to create a natural play and obstacle course.
β’ Finished the area with decorative golden gravel to complement the existing stonework.
The result is a unique, low-maintenance play space that blends perfectly with the garden while making use of the existing raised stone structure.
A great example of how an unused part of a garden can be transformed into something practical, fun and completely bespoke.
