We’re pleased to announce that Phoenix Brickwork has secured the masonry package at the Castle Activity & Fitness Centre in Spalding through our valued client, Willmott Dixon.
The project forms part of a major £28.38 million transformational development that will deliver improved health, wellbeing, leisure and community facilities for local residents in South Holland. The new hub is set to include swimming facilities, fitness and exercise spaces, health and wellbeing consultation rooms, sports facilities and wider community-focused areas designed to support healthier lifestyles for generations to come.
The scheme is being delivered by Alliance Leisure, via the UK Leisure Framework, on behalf of South Holland District Council. The council received £20 million of Government investment to improve health and wellbeing outcomes in South Holland through enhanced sport, recreation and leisure facilities, alongside the closer integration of health and wellbeing services for residents. Combined with a further £8.38 million contribution from the Council, this has created a significant project for the local area.
Early works began in Spring 2025, with main works commencing in Autumn 2025, and the new facilities due to open to the public in early 2027.
We’re proud to be involved in a project that will play such an important role within the local community and look forward to delivering a high-quality package as works progress.
A big thank you to Willmott Dixon for their continued trust and support — we’re excited to see this one take shape
