I’ve been doing this garden for over a year now, but I didn’t know there was all this space next to the shed! The ivy had invaded from next door, and it’s clearly been growing out of control for some time! So I scalped it right back, and even found some plastic patio chairs hidden away!

🚨 This is your 48 hour warning! 🚨

On Wednesday, 12th August 2026, the UK and Ireland will experience a near-total solar eclipse! 🌒 the sky will darken as the Moon aligns between the Sun and Earth, casting a shadow and creating a awe-inspiring experience! Although there will be other partial solar eclipses in future, one of this magnitude will not appear over the UK or Ireland again until 2081!

The fun doesn’t end there… one of the biggest meteor showers of the year peaks after sunset 💫 the Perseids is already in full swing, but on this particular night up to 100 meteors per hour may be seen streaking across the night sky! ✨

Many of you will remember the last major eclipse over the UK, on 11 August 1999, with the path of totality that crossed over Cornwall and parts of Southern England… the path of totality this time won’t come as close - its closest point off the west coast of Ireland - but the scenes to come will still be as spectacular, and memorable, and for most of us it will be the last great solar eclipse we’ll ever get to witness 🥺

I’m a busy girl 💁🏼‍♀️ but I’m also a mum and it is the school holidays, so I need to ensure the work-mum balance remains in harmony! I’m still out the door every day, but I’ve had to make the days a little shorter so my kids don’t think I’ve abandoned them 😂 I’ll be back to full working hours from Monday 7th September 🌸

Nothing beats making a great first impression to new customers - I love it when I hear a ‘WOW’ slip out 🤩 The ivy rooted underneath this whole garden is insane - it was coming through the artificial lawn, the gaps between the paving slabs and this area of gravel! Once the lawn and footpaths were cleared, the best I could do was rake through the gravel to break up as much root and vine as possible, then remove that and the foliage to avoid it re-rooting. It’s an ongoing process, but one I am now happy to be a part of 😊

Here is another I recently did… ivy removed from the fences, which came off a lot easier than I had anticipated!!!

Another fun afternoon was had with my friends at Hatton Court Care Home 💚 considering the afternoon heat, we decided to bring the outdoors indoors! We repotted loads of flowers to make the courtyard look even more amazing 🌸🌻 then finished the day with a cuppa and an ice cream!
