Just two days before the warranty ran out.

During a boiler service today, we found a fault with the main heat exchanger. This boiler turns seven on Wednesday, and we got a warranty call logged today—just in time.

If this had gone unnoticed until after the warranty expired, the customer could have faced a costly repair bill.

Regular servicing gives us the chance to catch problems early. Don’t wait until your boiler breaks down.

A proud dad moment today.

Brogan fitted this boiler today and completed her first vertical flue installation too.

She’s coming on a treat, and it’s great seeing her confidence grow and the pride she takes in her work.

Well done, Brogan — keep it up!

GAS LEAK FOUND IN ALEXANDRIA TODAY

We were called out to a property on Smollett Street, Alexandria today following a suspected gas leak.

The boiler hadn’t been serviced for years, and when we investigated we found this section of copper pipework badly corroded and leaking.

This is exactly why, as part of our boiler servicing procedure, we carry out a gas tightness test. We’ve come across issues like this too many times to take shortcuts.

A boiler service isn’t just about cleaning the boiler — it’s about checking the safety of the installation too.

Another boiler in Lomondgate that hadn’t been serviced in years—and this is what we found.

Severe corrosion has left the boiler requiring replacement. It has been classified as Immediately Dangerous (ID).

Regular servicing could have picked up the warning signs earlier, before the damage reached this stage.

Just because your boiler is still working doesn’t mean everything inside is safe.

If yours is overdue a service, get it booked in.

This is exactly why an annual boiler service is worth doing.

During a routine service today we opened this boiler up and found clear signs of water leakage and corrosion inside the appliance.

It may have still been running, but problems like this can easily go unnoticed until they turn into a much bigger repair or complete breakdown.

A proper service isn’t just a quick check — we inspect inside the boiler and look for issues before they become expensive.
