A change is as good as a rest they say....

So today we took a break from the paving and landscaping thats been keeping us busy these last few weeks and instead jumped on a full house of windows.

Composite front door with satin frosted glass and brass hardware

UPVC back door with satin frosted glass with lead design overlay and brass hardware

Then a reduced height window to replace the old floor to ceiling living room window giving the client the ability to have more options on furniture positions within the room.

Internal wall to be plastered, External wall will be coated in a maintenance free silicone render in the clients choice of colour.

Here we have this weeks latest
Garden Makeover

We removed the old 4ft fence as it was past its best.

And Replaced this with a close boarded 4dt fence and capping.

Dugout the gravel section to create the required depth for hardcore to allow for a Porcelain Patio and Artificial Turf area.

The client wanted this split corner to corner so that what we did, although we pulled the roght corner forward to allow for atleast 600mm width to enter the patio.

We then set new trims in place ready to over lay the existing tarmac path with a Durabound Resin Path in Black Steel and a Silver grey border.

We think this works really well for the space and gives the client so much more ability to use and enjoy the space over the summer months

Its super important for us to make sure we create a good relationship with our clients.

Yesterday 2x of our past clients opened thier homes up to us to show a new client around who was struggling to make thier minds up on how they wanted to construct the roof of the extension we have booked in to be built this year.

For them to be so welcoming is huge for us and its really appreciated 🙏

Then this week we were back to work on a property that's we worked on when I first started working for my dad way back when I was 16!

We replaced these Art Stone Cills to the 2x Bay windows of the front of this property for a really good client of ours.

Here's a pic of the Cills followed by the extension i was part of all those years ago.

Apologies to anyone who has tried to reach us today.

We finished early today to attend the Funeral of a Good Friend of ours and fellow tradesman.

He helped us on a good few projects, most recently being a complex site cut roof construction and a bespoke staircase for 2x of our clients in washington.

But today was the time to put down the tools and pay our respects to a great man.

I will respond to any messages and missed calls when back in the office tomorrow

The same client also had this yard that felt tired due to the cracked concrete base etc.

So we got out the breakers, lifted all the old concrete, set new ACO Drains against the wall of the prpperty and kept with the Indian Sandstone theme from the main garden.

Now the client has a clean tidy yard to sit an enjoy those early morning coffees in the sin before the sun crosses the house into the main garden later in the day for a few sociable drinks with friends etc.

A before and after of this garden make over for a client in Washington.

The client sent me the 1st pic with a clear vision in mind of what she wanted.

So we set about it, scraped the full garden off bar the top patio area, set new sleepers to correct the heights for a patio area due to the slope of the garden.

New Indian Sandstone paving throughout, new fence to the front of the garden to bring her garden in line with the rest of the street.

Then we turned over all the soil and levelled out to new heights ready for some fresh turf to go down so the client can have a nice fresh and clean looking garden now that spring is just around the corner.

We've had a few passers by stop to take pictures of the van when we have been on site lately.

At first I thought they were annoyed at where id parked the van etc 🙈😂
But now its happened a few times.

We cant decide why ?

Is it

- A. the van is just so good to look at with her new graphics on ?

- B. The Lads are being so polite to people and doing such a great job on site they thought they'd take a little look at our socials

- C. They want some work done themselves so take a pic for contact details to save having to approach us on site when we're busy.

Feel free to take a pic of the van if you see us out and about and are in the market to have some building and landscaping works completed at your property.

Or by all means approach myself or one of the lads on site, we're more than happy to spare a few minutes to discuss any plans you may have 😎

Parking getting a little tight at home because the kids are growing up and learning to drive.

Why not do what this client asked of us and extend those drives.

We aren't here to over sell anything and tell you, you need to rip the lot up etc.

We simply removed the existing pillar and section of fencing.
New foundation and pillar position
Reduced section of fencing welded back in place on site.
Driveway, dug, stoned and paved.

This drive has been extended by around 30m² which is more than enough to help them with additional parking.

We made an early start on this one this week due to a little shuffle of the diary.

A lovely few days in the sun down on the riverside in Washington.

-Fence removed

-Turf stripped off, garden dug to the correct levels to form a patio area and footpath.

-New Fence with a swap over to the other side for the gate position allowing the client to have a footpath up the garden without travelling through the seating area on the patio
-Sleepers in, stoned up and patio under way.

Some more cobble edges to set next week and complete the paving to the yard at the rear of the property too.
