🔥 A serious upgrade on this one over the last couple of days in Eastbourne!

Out with the old open-vented heating and hot water system, including the cylinder, tanks and existing system boiler, and replaced with a new Baxi 424 combination boiler.

A fair amount of work went into this one behind the scenes:

🔧 Old hot water cylinder & tanks removed
🔧 Existing system boiler removed
🔧 Converted to a combination boiler system
🔧 New Baxi 424 combination boiler installed
🔧 Magnetic system filter fitted
🔧 Pipework extensively altered and tidied
🔧 System flushed, treated and commissioned
🔧 Boiler registered with Baxi for warranty

With an older installation like this there’s only so much you can do with the existing services and pipework without rebuilding the entire cupboard, but we’ve managed to massively simplify and tidy what was there, while freeing up a huge amount of space and bringing the heating and hot water system right up to date.

🔥 FULL HEATING SYSTEM UPGRADE COMPLETED 🔥

A big transformation on this one!

The existing open-vented heating system, gravity hot water cylinder, old radiators and pipework were completely removed and as you may have seen from my previous posts, the condition of the water and pipework showed exactly why this system was ready for an overhaul! 😳

We then started fresh, installing:

🔧 Baxi 430 combination boiler, relocated into the loft
🛡️ 5-year manufacturer’s warranty
🧲 Magnetic system filter to help protect the new boiler and heating system
🌡️ Programmable room thermostat for simple, efficient heating control
🔥 New column radiators throughout the property
🔩 All-new heating pipework throughout
🚿 Removal of the old gravity hot water cylinder and conversion to mains-pressure hot water directly from the new combi boiler
💧 System fully commissioned, treated and set up ready for use

With the old system, radiators and heavily contaminated pipework all removed, the property now has a completely new, modern heating system from the ground up.

A huge amount of work went into this one, but a really satisfying transformation and a much cleaner, more efficient setup for the customer going forward. 👌

The further we get into this one, the worse it gets 😳😂

Cutting out some of the old heating pipework and just look at the state of what’s coming out of it… 🖤

🔥 Out with the old, in with the new!

We’re currently in the middle of a full heating system replacement this week, ripping out the old pipework and starting fresh with:

🔧 Brand new pipework throughout
🔥 New combi boiler
🏠 New radiators throughout

And judging by the colour of the water coming out of the old system in this video… I’d say the upgrade was definitely well overdue!

Years of sludge and corrosion can seriously affect the performance and efficiency of a heating system, so sometimes a fresh start really is the best option.

Plenty more progress to come on this one over the next few days 👌

🏡 A quick tip that could save you an expensive boiler repair…

One of the biggest issues I see isn’t actually faulty boilers, it’s heating systems that haven’t been properly looked after.

Over time, sludge and debris build up inside your radiators and pipework. This can lead to:
• Cold spots on radiators
• Noisy heating systems
• Higher gas bills
• Reduced boiler efficiency
• Premature pump and boiler failures

A yearly boiler service is important, but it’s only one part of keeping your heating system healthy.

If your radiators are taking ages to warm up, some stay colder than others, or your heating just doesn’t seem as good as it used to be, it’s worth getting it checked before a small issue turns into a costly repair.

🔧 Another boiler installation completed this week! 🔥

This week we replaced an older boiler with a new Baxi 424 combination boiler, providing the customer with reliable, energy-efficient heating and hot water, backed by a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty for added peace of mind.

As part of the installation we also:
✔️ Installed a magnetic system filter to help protect the boiler from sludge and debris
✔️ Fitted a new programmable thermostat for improved comfort and efficiency
✔️ Carried out a full system clean before installation
✔️ Treated the system with fresh inhibitor to help protect against future corrosion
✔️ Fully commissioned, tested and Gas Safe certified the installation
