Enjoyed the building and the design aspect of the builds but did not enjoy the government slowing the market by raising the interest rates month by month. They certainly do not help small developers at all. Times were hard then but both properties sold in the end.

We’ve never attempted a metal roof before, not going to lie it takes some getting your head around, working with the specialist tools and thinking so far ahead, few finishing details but I think we’re there.

Progress made on the new Project.. trust me this is going to be special.

Been a tricky few days and the beginning part of the week we were still digging the foundations.

Foundations were reinforced with mesh, 2 ladder layers throughout. 40sqm of Concrete then pumped. Set out and here we are ready for drainage then block and beam.

Onwards and upwards.

New Oak cut Joists in a refurb we’re coming to the end of... more photos to come soon but honestly, it has been one of the hardest projects we have taken on. It was such an unknown until we started. Everyday was a head scratcher having to deal with so many uneven levels, floors etc and replacing so many rotten timbers like for like...Hard to explain but sure was tough overcoming the problems.

Photos don’t do justice how bad the old floor was, rotten worm infested joists were falling apart as we were removing them. I don’t know how it stayed up.

Every 3x4 oak timber cut individually.

Completed a little Bathroom refurb this week amongst another big job we’re trying to finish. Before and after. - Again fairly low budget, we used the Allendale range from but looks great (Slate Grey). - Along with oak laminate worktops and hard wearing oak laminate flooring also from Howdens. - Photo’s don’t show it but these rooms were a funny shape, a Rhombus shape. Made things a little trickier.
