Small lighting install this morning in Edinburgh. Our client wanted a minimalist solution to brighten their desk up in the study which is already a fairly dark room.

We installed a dot-less LED tape finished in an aluminium profile for that sleek finish. This is also fully dimmable as these types of lights can give off quite a glare at full brightness.

Recent rewire completed as part of a full renovation of this four bed property in fife. We were originally asked to install some recessed spotlights amongst a couple of other small bits, however after opening a couple of accessories, we discovered the infamous ‘green goo’ covering 80% of the installation.

Time for a rewire - we managed to squeeze this into our already busy diary and quickly got to work, managing to complete the job within the time constraints.

Fixing other so called “electrician’s” work isn’t something I particular look forward to taking on but it seems to be becoming more frequent. We do like to help if we can.

After a tough week of working on this beautiful extension up in Tayport where their “electrician” decided to go radio silent at a crucial stage in the job.
We were asked to finish the job which has turned out to be a challenge due to shoddy and downright dangerous workmanship throughout. Various wiring faults, live cabling hidden behind walls and live conductive parts in plain sight, easily accessible to their children.

I get a real bee in my bonnet about this sort of stuff. Electricity can kill if not dealt with responsibly. I’ve had a friend of mine helping out for a few weeks under supervision and he is 1000X neater and more diligent than whoever installed this monstrosity. If you see this, shame on you.

We will hopefully have some improved photos of this installation in the coming weeks once we’ve got it up to a high standard. We wouldn’t allow anything less 👊
