Maggie's: Architecture that Cares at V&A Dundee

We're excited to share our latest commission for and 🧡

Using a simple palette of pine, douglas fir plywood and twinwall polycarbonate, we built and installed the new exhibition marking 30 years of Maggie's Centres, a network of cancer support centres around the UK.

Founded in Edinburgh in 1996 by Maggie Keswick Jencks and Charles Jencks, the centres were created as places of warmth and support beyond the clinical hospital environment. Architects including Frank Gehry, Zaha Hadid and Norman Foster were invited to design buildings that feel welcoming and uplifting.

The exhibition brings together the voices of visitors, staff and architects in the form of photographs, architectural models, sketches, films and interviews; exploring how thoughtful design can shape spaces of care.

We’re really pleased to have been involved in bringing this exhibition together.

Open until 1st November 2026, free entry - a must see! 💫

Wrapping up this year, we couldn't go without giving a huge thanks to the OSF team - many miles, hard graft and a lot of care is behind it all 🔨💪
We're lucky to work with such talented, enthuastiastic and good-humoured people 🙏
It's been a year of ambitious projects and exciting milestones. Thank you also to our clients, suppliers, sub-contractors and everone who's supported us along the way.

OSF Table Boards 🧀🔪

We’ve turned our offcuts into a limited run of one-off table boards, with all proceeds going to our partner charity

Gently irregular and softly faceted, we hand shaped each board from offcuts of oak, maple, walnut and elm salvaged from our biggest projects. 🪓

For Bardware .scotland we were commissioned to build the modular pegboard display system to showcase the work of 23 Scottish craftspeople, designers and artists.
The exhibition brings everyday objects to life, turning homeware into playful, touchable pieces that beg to be explored. The pegboard displays, a nod to hardware stores, provide a simple canvas for the work.
A joy to be part of, and a thoughtful celebration of contemporary craft in a stunning, immersive setting. 🔨

Bardware – open until 23rd December

Watch this space🪜
We’ve just taken our neighbouring unit, soon to become our new office & studio space, with a meeting area and a materials library where new projects can take shape. ✏️
Originally a miners’ bathhouse, this unit has been adapted for a variety of industries over the years. ⛏️
Over the coming months, we’ll be shaping the space while celebrating it’s character - the tiled floor, brick walls and steel trusses - a nod to it’s working history. 🧱
