Ridotto Events The theme for Ridotto 2014 is Neverland. Discover various performances inspired by the theme and a night sprinkled with a bit of Pixie dust.

Ridotto as an event has evolved from a number of site inspired performances in collaboration with Queen Margaret University (QMU) arts students and exciting venues in and around the Edinburgh area. In 2010, the team developed a performative exhibition of students work at The Caves Edinburgh. The event used ‘Ridotto’ as a theme to create a number of carnival inspired costumes and performative eleme

nts to showcase their work. In 2011, we returned to The Caves with Poor Things – A Site Specific Performance. Inspired by Alasdair Gray’s novel Poor Things, the piece was an exhibitory performance to combine puppetry and live performative elements that showcased the design and construction of puppets, costume, set and multimedia design of the students at QMU. In 2012, Ridotto Events produced 'REDotto' - an exhibition of design, direction, film, photography and live performance to showcase the talents of students and emerging artists in and around the Edinburgh area.
