Three MK08 VELUX windows replaced in yesterday by the team🪟

We have MEWP tickets to drive the correct access machines to do the job quickly, safely and cost effectively to save scaffold costs on the vertical pitches windows ✅

99% of VELUX windows can be replaced from the inside but every now and again you get ones like this , out of the 18 houses in this area we have replaced the windows on six of them now 👌

Our client in wanted to replace the fixed pane single glazed, old cast iron skylight with something they could open to vent the small loft room 🪟

The client didn't want to spend much and disrupt the internals so we recommended a cold room window to replace, these are great for small loft spaces to replace the old cast windows ✅

We removed the slates and window and replaced with a cold room window and built in flashing kit 👌

Our client in wanted to replace the fixed pane single glazed skylight with something they could open to vent the small shower room to.

The dimensions were not right for a flat roof window but a pitched solar powered opening GGU polyurethane framed CK04 Velux window was the best option. ✅

We removed the existing skylight and built the kerb from treated timber before installing new code 5 lead all welded into position to seal. 👌

Our client in the Pentland Hills wanted to keep the room cool in the summer but at the same time stop insects entering so we installed an Exterior solar powered opening roller shutter and insect blinds on the inside ✅

This was a great project for the team this week, the client had a small dark and dull box room with no natural daylight so we transformed this for them 😎

A few before , during and after pictures of a job in to install a new Duo MK08 Velux window combination with insulated internal plasterboard tunnel. 🤩

Plastered and painted to finish and flood the room with natural daylight to transform the small box room ✅
