As we are experiencing a cold and snowy January and being warned of severe drops in temperatures, the Government suggests “Britons get their heating system checked regularly by a qualified professional to ensure that your homes heating and hot water systems are ready to withstand the weather that’s coming."
Gas Safe Register, the official gas registration body for the UK, estimates that domestic gas boilers will work an extra 504 hours per system this winter, with 35% of the working population based at home due to the coronavirus pandemic, compared to just 5% this time last year.
