It's been a while hasn't it?

So here are some images of fault-finding jobs that I've attended recently. The first images show rodent damage to cables and the work required sometimes to find the fault and repair it.

Note: I've not attended a rodent damage fault for a long time, then these two came along in the same week!

The other two pictures show the dangers of a poorly wired Consumer Unit and also a faulty/overloaded twin socket that was quickly located by the distinct smell of the burning.

After the sad passing of Darwin, allow me to introduce you to Dory (a Citroen Nemo). Big day tomorrow (in the forecast snow); I've got to refit my old roof rack, install shelves in the back, install dashcam, reversing sensors, reversing camera, power outlets, lighting.....eek!

Having lost my lovely CK VDE side cutters recently I thought I'd jump on Amazonia to find a replacement pair.

ACCURACY is the name of the game!

Last week, whilst discussing the location of a new outdoor socket with my customer, I took a quick glance through the window at the indoor socket that I was going to take the supply from. I marked the outside wall with my pencil saying "I will probably come out of the wall somewhere around here".
Yep, you guessed it, after drilling through the wall, I went back outside to see how close I was to my mark and couldn't find it until I saw the piece of blown-out brick on the floor!

Now I know I'm good but, sometimes, I even surprise myself!

Just for the fun of it and to share something about myself:

Life isn't all about work. For those of you who are not already aware; I am a musician for a local Morris side, (I play whistle) and my wife teaches the dances. We helped set up T'Owd Man Border Morris during the lockdowns and have had so much fun since. We've met some wonderful people and have made great friendships since we started.
