Hi to all my customers past and present
It's time to hang up my set square and framing tools .
The friendship and warmth I found over these past years has been truly wonderful. I can't thank you all enough.
Why retire and do some more you ask?
The time is right. I'm at the peak of this profession and an olden.As I leave the employment stage and rest awhile in the stalls my thoughts go back 60 years and the aspirations I had whilst starting out on that employment stage ..
When we started the name Reginald Charles Davis of Greenwich, was set up in memory of my Dad and the logo was designed with seeing and making a postcard of one of his slide a long time ago now.
I've completed so many frames orders over these framing years and to be fair enjoyed all. But one of my biggest buzzes was putting that logo on the back of a Winston Churchill painting and only recently too,my Dad would be so chuffed. So as the business closes its doors on a high.
I share with you this Poem that i wrote some years ago .It's not perfect by any means,
but it says so much to the young starting. The poem is called and flows.
Daughter and Son
Your lives have just begun.
We've all you've ever known.
Since that day how you've grown
In this world's universe.
Life at times seems a curse
What you do and who you serve.
Be sure of one thing hold your nerve.
The world's a stage of actors.
Many colours Many factors
The world should be a united team.
You will be this futures dream
Let's hope that one day this will be
Daughter and Son the futures.
Far from what you see.

Hi to all to all my customers as we come out of lockdown just to let you know i am open with hours shown i would ask please ring my works No for the time being to arrange a time before coming. To all my customers ,the decision I was going to make has been made by national lockdown.As we the nation come together and the government do the scheduled mid feb vaccination programme that light at the end of the tunnel will come closer and we all move on with our lives
I wish you and all my friends a better year to come, stay safe will keep you all posted when lockdown is lifted
