Still fencing…

Tractor work has taken over the last few weeks but we’ve still managed to put up just over 2,400 meters of three strand barb 🦾 despite all the dry weather these fields were still quite wet! Thanks to Seb for lending a hand. We’ll be back at this farm next week now first cut has been lifted.

The last couple weeks have been a complete whirlwind, here’s a few photos of what we’ve been up to.

Over 2,000 meters of stock fencing, some wooden gates and a handful of styles. This job also included a fair bit of digger work.

Olly finally got in some tractor work, ploughing a small block for wild bird seed.

And then we dipped our toes in the domestic fencing pond with this picket fence for a side project we’re working on. Shout out to Amy’s dad for helping with this!

Over the last 10days we’ve been at a farm near Lapford erecting over 2,300 meters of stock fencing!

There was a lot of prep work with the digger before the fence could be installed - tree shearing over hanging branches, footing out banks and clearing ditches.

We used XHT8-80-30 300m rolls of netting and 500m high tensile Tornado Wire Ltd rolls of barb on redwood timber. With quite a few turns, you can see we put in tie backs and small box struts where necessary.

Last week we put up these two 100m parallel stretches for new trees 🌳 using from McVeigh Parker Farm and Fencing Suppliers and Balcas stakes and Tornado Wire Ltd barbed wire from Bridgmans Agriculture

Plus, another 400 meters of two strand barb on creosote from Mole Valley Farmers

This week we’ve been fencing for a local, regular customer. The digger was used to remove the old fence, tree shear over hanging branches (and even take out the odd tree!) as well as foot out banks for the fence to go in nice and tight against the boundary 😎

Over the last couple of weeks we have done…

Just over 1,000m of stock fence on creosote 🙃

Secured a garden for dogs using Tornado Wire Ltd HT15/158/8, note the far left post had to be 10ft to allow for a drop off the edge of a wall - not ideal when your team mate is just over 5ft 😅

Followed by some repairs for a regular customer 👌🏼

Dry ground, excellent views and tea & cake - helping us get through January! 🤩

This job was to split up a field into manageable paddocks for sheep and ponies. We used redwood timber supplied by Bridgmans Agriculture, XHT8-80-30 netting from McVeigh Parker Farm and Fencing Suppliers and finished with two strands of Tornado Wire Ltd plain wire.

In addition to the fencing, the digger was used to tree-shear overhanging branches around the boundary!
