Despite the intense heat, we've made great progress on this double storey extension, reaching first-floor joist height in just a few days. A fantastic effort from the team in challenging conditions. 🌞

🧱 Substructure package complete! 🧱

We've successfully completed the substructure works for this one-off build, with all blockwork finished up to DPC level and the block and beam floor installed by the team.

The recent weather certainly made the job more challenging—laying 6-inch blocks and manoeuvring 5-metre concrete beams in the heat wasn't easy! ☀️🥵

One of the perks of working on a cattle farm was being treated to some outstanding ribeye steaks by the client, which was greatly appreciated. 🥩

A big thank you to the team for another quality job delivered safely and efficiently.

The project involved:
✔️ Carefully taking down the existing chimney stack
✔️ Installing two new lead trays for improved protection and durability
✔️ Rebuilding the stack using the original bricks to maintain its character and appearance

We've thoroughly enjoyed working on this fantastic restoration project in Topsham.
Using traditional building methods and quality craftsmanship, we're carefully rebuilding and restoring this property brick by brick, ensuring it retains its character while being built to stand the test of time.

The transformation so far has been incredible, and there's still plenty more to come, including a large kitchen extension that we're excited to get started on.

It's going to be a truly stunning home when complete.
