Dewhurst is an independent supplier of quality components to the lift, keypad and rail industries. The company was founded in 1919 and the Dewhurst Group now has sales of around US $50 million and employs over 300 people in locations around the world

ents of markets around the world. We sell widely throughout the UK, Europe and Asia to many lift companies, who use our pushbuttons in both new installations and modernisations. Throughout its time, Dewhurst has been a key innovator with its pushbutton products, being the first to design a button with braille and the first to supply illuminated legend lift buttons. Our breakthrough design in 1971 with the US81 Original Pushbutton, of styling the pushbutton with a chrome surround and stainless steel pressel is imitated the world over. Through our products, we like to enhance the lift passenger experience in both new and existing installations. Our product solutions for the lift car and for the landing are designed to create a quality, timeless feel whilst being robust and affordable. Our manufacturing plant, located on the outskirts of London, is full of the latest machine tools and as a company we invest heavily each year on new production equipment. Our Research and Development facilities boast the latest Computer Aided Design and Test equipment.

Gareth Barlow has been promoted from his position as Process and Manufacturing Engineer to Manufacturing Manager.

Gareth will take responsibility for Team Leaders, Jack Ellard, Rohini Sharma and Yasser Hussain.

He comments ‘I am looking forward to the challenge that my role presents, as I’ve identified a number of opportunities that’ll deliver benefits internally, as well as our customers. So, from improving processes and procedures, to driving efficiency gains and reducing waste, I really look forward to facilitating change. I have a dynamic, hungry and engaged team working with me to implement and execute change and I can't wait to deliver results’

Understanding our customers needs and requirements is fundamental to delivering tailored solutions and fostering a long-term relationship. Recently, our Commercial Manager for IMEA, Mohammad Wasim led a product presentation to one of our reputable customers based in Mumbai.

He spent time showcasing our range of products, the benefits they can deliver and how they can meet customer needs and requirements. It also gave our customer the opportunity to have any questions answered and to identify real-life challenges that exist.

It is our duty to make sure the relationship between supplier and customer is strong, our solutions are suitable on a project-by-project basis and to ensure projects are run efficiently.
