WARNING..!
As a local locksmith I had a call from a Dover resident this morning. Last night he unfortunately managed to lock himself out of his flat in the town centre.
He hit Google and found a guy who said that he would charge £49 to get him back in.
This chap is not a locksmith, he’s an opportunist with no locksmith skills. He charged the guy £235 to destroy his lock and get him in and then wanted another £350 to replace it.!
Thankfully my customer declined and called me first thing this morning.
If you ever find yourself locked out there and these people that will rip you off.
If this chap had called me I would’ve got him into his flat without causing any damage.
I had thought that I had scared this man away a few months ago when I challenged him at a similar call but it looks like he is back. Please be aware
