We have been extremely busy recently and just wanted to say thank you to all our amazing customers!

One particular job was to fully restore a tired and worn looking whisky barrel. After stripping everything to the bare wood and metal, we discovered lots of details.

The barrel was originally used as a bourbon cask in America and then imported to Scotland to be re-used as a whisky barrel.

We restored it with danish oil and smooth black metal paint for the bands. Check out the before and after below!

All of our external timber is treated with a preserver that acts both as a weather shield and primer. Indigo shade was chosen here, using Ultimate Opaque spirit based paint, 3 coats means this will now last for many years to come.

A client wanted their solid wood worktop refreshed with a top up coat of oil, due to the extensive level of scratches and layers of different types of finishes used over the years it was decided a full restoration job was required.

Professionally prepared and sanded back through several layers of different oils, with extensive scratches removed. The worktop was professionally cleaned, followed by a fresh application of Osmo Top oil.

We use this oil for all wood related food preparation surfaces as it's regulated and safe for use with food.

The client was very pleased with the results. Check out the before, during and after photos below.
