A full garden reset, all in one day🌿This Eaglesham cottage garden had become heavily overgrown with weeds, including Himalayan balsam, so our gardeners spent the day giving it a complete tidy-up.

The beds were gutted, hand-weeded, cultivated and cleared of balsam before everything was blown clean.

We also made sure the balsam was handled carefully to avoid spreading seeds, flowering plants were bagged and taken away for proper disposal.

Residents will meet to decide whether to formally establish the Clydeview Park Working Group and, if agreed, elect office bearers to help provide structure, clear communication and a strong community voice.

Bringing community spaces back to life! Earlier this month, our gardeners took on a major tidy-up at Clydeview Park in Glasgow:

✂️ Grass cut throughout the park
🌳 Selected trees pruned to improve access and visibility
🌱 Green spaces refreshed and ready to be enjoyed

🔘Cherry Laurel – fast-growing, dense and excellent for screening.

🔘Photinia ‘Red Robin’ – evergreen structure with vibrant red new growth for added colour and interest.

Chelsea Flower Show started this week, and while some plants are designed to impress on show gardens, others could genuinely thrive in Scottish home gardens too.

Looking through this year’s RHS Chelsea Plant of the Year 2026 shortlist, our gardeners picked a few favourites they’d actually recommend for local gardens here in Scotland, plants that are not only beautiful, but also practical, resilient, and suited to our climate.

This garden had the kind of winter build-up many homeowners recognise – longer grass, leaves in the beds, and everything needing a proper refresh after the colder months.
