Some of the largest and most complex projects we work on are the ones we can't talk about.
Across the UK construction industry, Curtis Moore regularly delivers roofing, cladding and façade solutions on projects that operate within highly secure or sensitive environments.
These include sectors such as Nuclear, Defence, Energy and confidential commercial developments where strict security protocols understandably limit and often prohibit what can be shared publicly.
While we cannot showcase many of these projects in the same way as others, they represent a significant part of our work and demonstrate the trust placed in our team by clients and principal contractors.
Delivering projects in secure environments requires more than technical expertise. It demands robust information security, trusted personnel and strict compliance with site protocols. Our Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation, combined with dedicated internal processes for managing security clearances and sensitive project information, ensures we are well equipped to operate within these environments.
We have shared a short blog explaining how we support projects in secure sectors and why this capability is an important part of our service offering.

Women in Construction Week gives us the opportunity to recognise and celebrate the contribution women make to our industry.
Construction remains a traditionally male-dominated sector. However, year after year, more women are choosing to build their careers in construction — pushing boundaries, challenging perceptions and making their mark across the profession.
At Curtis Moore, we are proud to have a wonderful team of women throughout the business, including representation in senior management and director-level roles. The women in our team contribute across all areas of the company, helping to drive our projects, support our clients and strengthen our overall performance.
Their expertise, professionalism and leadership are fundamental to the success of our business.
To mark the week, we’re highlighting a selection of the fantastic women who were in the office with us today. While not everyone is pictured, this represents the talented women across our organisation.
We value the contribution each of them makes and are proud of the strength, skill and dedication they bring to the team.

Last week we partnered with People's Safety to deliver a hands-on Net Rescue Workshop at our South Clyde project. The session featured a specialist presentation from Rob Harris of FASET, alongside a practical training workshop delivered by Craig and John from Peoples Safety.

The training was extremely well received by our site safety team, the project management site team and three newly appointed roofing gangs now working on the project

Ensuring our teams are fully prepared and confident in net rescue procedures is a critical part of our ongoing commitment to working safely at height. A big thank you to Jim, our project manager for arranging this and everyone involved in delivering and attending the session — collaboration like this keeps our standards high and our people safe.

It was great to recently capture aerial images showcasing the continued progress on site at the South Clyde Energy Centre (SCEC).
The project is now moving firmly into a more visible stage of construction, with several elements of the envelope progressing well. Installation of the U-channel glass has now commenced, while works to the internal firewalls and external cladding panels continue at pace.
We’re also pleased to see the Kalzip standing seam roof installation now underway, marking another key milestone in the programme and further transforming the external appearance of the building.
Curtis Moore is delivering the full building envelope package for this landmark scheme, including roofing, composite cladding, rainscreen systems, internal firewalls and louvres, while directly managing our specialist subcontractors for glazing, curtain walling, windows and external metal doors to ensure a fully coordinated and integrated solution.
Great progress from everyone involved — we look forward to sharing further updates as the project continues to take shape.

Over the Christmas period, we were proud to support causes that make a real difference locally.
We supported Sunshine Wishes Children’s Charity once again — donating laptops and monitors, contributing £500 to their Christmas Toy Appeal, and collecting food donations for their food bank locations.
Sunshine Wishes recently shared how, thanks to the kindness of many supporters, children and families felt a little more comfort, joy, and reassurance over the festive period. We’re grateful to have played a small part in that wider effort.
We also raised £250 on Christmas Jumper Day for the local Cat & Dog Home.
A huge thank you to Sunshine Wishes for the amazing work they do, and to our team for getting involved and giving so generously.

Last year, Curtis Moore secured the envelope package for the South Clyde Energy Centre (SCEC) in Glasgow, following more than two years of close collaboration with the client, architects, and wider design team. Projects of this type are core to Curtis Moore’s business, and this large-scale scheme is particularly notable given its proximity to our offices.
Works commenced on site in summer 2025, with our team starting with the installation of the internal firewalls. Since then, works have progressed through the early stages of the programme, and the project is now well underway, moving into a more visible phase of construction.
Curtis Moore is delivering the full external envelope package on this project. Our teams are currently installing the Kalzip standing seam roof and Eurobond Laminates Ltd composite cladding, with the CGL Facades Rainscreen cladding to follow. Our structural glazing and curtain walling subcontractors are making strong progress, contributing to the evolving external appearance of the building.
Earlier this week, it was great to capture images of the Kalzip roof sheets being rolled at ground level, ready to be lifted onto the roof.
Our scope of works for this landmark project includes roofing, external composite cladding, rainscreen systems, internal firewalls and louvres with Curtis Moore directly managing our specialist subcontractors for the glazing, curtain walling, windows and external metal doors to deliver a fully integrated building envelope solution.

As we head into the festive season, please note our office closure dates over Christmas and New Year.

At Curtis Moore, we’re proud to support a number of charities that make a real difference in people’s lives. Among them, Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity holds a special place because it focuses specifically on the construction industry — a community we know and understand deeply.
Construction can be a demanding job, both physically and mentally, and The Lighthouse Charity provides vital support to workers and their families when they need it most. The charity offers a range of services for those seeking help, including a 24/7 confidential helpline, live chat support, and access to resources for mental, emotional, and financial wellbeing. They also visit construction sites to raise awareness and make support accessible to everyone in the industry.
As a construction company, supporting a charity that focuses on our industry is a natural fit. By raising awareness and contributing to The Lighthouse Charity’s work, we can help ensure a healthier, more resilient workforce.
We encourage our partners, clients, and colleagues across the industry to get involved and help support this vital cause. Together, we can make sure no one in our community faces challenges alone.

It’s incredible to see the latest progress being shared at Hinkley Point C.
Our first building, HMP1, stands out prominently on site, but despite the sheer scale of this building, it represents just a small part of what is an extraordinary nuclear development — a vast, complex facility with thousands of people working every day to deliver something truly world-class.
Having successfully completed the roofing and cladding works on the landmark HMP1 building, Curtis Moore has already begun work on the identical HMP2 building. Being involved in a programme of this scale, ambition and importance really does put into perspective just how remarkable this facility is.
Proud to be playing our part in such an astonishing piece of national infrastructure.

Following the successful completion of HM1, the Curtis Moore Team has begun work on HM2 at Hinkley Point C — bringing lessons learned from the first phase straight into the next.

HM1 was complex and challenging, but it provided valuable insights. Building on those lessons, the team has introduced a modular parapet solution for HM2 to replace the traditional in-situ installation. Over the past four months, they have installed the Kalzip cladding build-up to the parapet structures, along with the single-ply membrane insulated gutters and syphonic drainage. This innovative approach will:

✔️ Reduce mast-climber movements
✔️ Streamline installation
✔️ Improve safety and efficiency on site

The first of the newly clad parapet modules has been installed and HM2 is now underway with a clear focus on smarter working, safety, and teamwork — demonstrating Curtis Moore’s commitment to continuous improvement and setting a high standard for the next phases of Hinkley Point C.
Work in earnest begins in February 2026 when we commence the roofing and cladding envelope. The team are looking forward to delivering this next phase of this landmark project.
