🚨 Damp in your home? Don’t guess — diagnose it properly.

Not all damp is the same, and treating the wrong type can cost you thousands in unnecessary repairs.

Here are the 3 main types of damp we see every day:

🟠 Rising Damp
Moisture rising from the ground into your walls.
Common signs: tide marks, peeling paint, crumbling plaster, white salts.

🔵 Condensation
Moisture in the air settling on cold surfaces.
Common signs: wet windows, black mould on frames, musty smells, worse in winter.

🔴 Penetrating Damp
Water entering through walls, roofs, or brickwork.
Common signs: localised damp patches, blown plaster, cracks in render, worse after rainfall.

❗ Why this matters:
Each type needs a different solution.
A dehumidifier won’t fix rising damp.
A chemical injection won’t fix condensation.
And replastering alone won’t fix penetrating damp.
