About Us
Tryac Ltd is a well-established business based in Grantham, proudly trading for over 40 years. Since 1985, we have been NICEIC approved and specialise in a range of electrical work. While much of our work serves the farming industry, we also operate in the industrial, commercial, and domestic sectors.

We are currently looking for a skilled Electrician to join our team. While previous experience in the agricultural sector is a bonus, it is not essential – if you’re a skilled electrician with a willingness to learn, we’ll provide full training on the agricultural side of the job.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures. If you're passionate about electrical work and have the right experience, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems
Perform routine electrical testing and maintenance
Diagnose and resolve electrical issues using appropriate testing equipment
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
Requirements

Recognized electrical qualifications (e.g. City & Guilds 2365 or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation)
Proven experience as an Electrician
Proficiency with power tools, electrical tools, and hand tools
Solid understanding of electrical systems and wiring
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Problem solving and critical-thinking skills
Valid UK driving license
Job Details

Pay: depending on experience
Hours: Minimum of 40 hours per week

We are looking to employ an Apprentice Electrician for our contracting department.

The Apprentice training will last over 4 years with block release college attendance at Lincoln and working at Tryac.
The apprenticeship will be overseen by JTL which is an organisation that manages training in the electrical sector. It is one of the top three work-based learning providers in England and Wales. Once the apprenticeship is finished, the chosen applicant will gain a qualification that is recognised around the world.

Applicants would need to sit a JTL entry test, a colour blind test and achieved four GCSE's equivalent at Grade 4 or better in subjects including Maths, English and Science.

On a working apprenticeship the applicant will earn the minimum apprentice wage set by the government with the wage gradually increasing over the years as they become more qualified.

Our contacting department carries out electrical installations on Grain stores, Potato stores, general purpose buildings, industrial units and offices. We go out on reactive electrical breakdowns and also carry out inspections and testing on electrical installations.

We are delighted to announce that Tryac has kindly sponsored our U10's team for the upcoming season.

Our local based sponsor are electrical engineers providing products for the agricultural market. They produce control panels for the movement, drying and cooling of crop. Tryac also install and design system's to customers requirements and provide on site services for repairs of motors and control equipment. Tryac also wire grain stores, grain driers, stirring silos, and storage silos as well as electrical works for commercial, industrial and domestic customers.
