Another successful project delivered by CR Electrical ⚑🌎🟒

We’re pleased to have completed works on a local authority administrative building, helping bring the site up to modern, energy-efficient standards.

Our team carried out:

-Installation of energy-efficient electrical heaters
and Water heaters.
- A 25kW solar PV system comprising 50 x 500W panels and a SolarEdge inverter with optimisers for improved system performance
– New 200amp building supply to a panel board and 2 distribution board located over 2 floors
– Full permanent edge protection to ensure safe access during installation and future maintenance.

🚧⚑ Big Win for CR Electrical! ⚑🚧

We’re proud to have successfully secured and delivered a major tender working for the local authority at their main council depot.

The project involved the installation and commissioning of two new LV switchboards, rated at 2500A and 1600A, supplied by Control and Power Systems Ltd.

As part of the works, we installed 630mmΒ² and 500mmΒ² triple AWA cabling from the HV transformers to the LV switchboards, forming the new main distribution supplies across the site. Extensive cable pulling and routing was required to integrate the new infrastructure within the site.

Careful planning was key. We coordinated scheduled shutdowns to ensure the work was completed safely while keeping disruption to the depot’s operations to an absolute minimum.

A great effort from the whole team and another high-quality project delivered.

Our latest system features 14 Γ— 475W Aiko solar panels, paired with a SolaX 6kW IES inverter and a powerful 15.3kWh battery storage system, giving the homeowner the ability to generate, store, and use their own clean energy day and night.

To make the most of their solar power, we also installed a Hypervolt EV charger, allowing the customer to charge their electric vehicle directly from solar energy. βš‘πŸš—

This smart energy setup is expected to save the homeowner over Β£1,400 per year on energy costs while significantly reducing their carbon footprint.

Phase 1 completed πŸ’ͺ. A large site in need of a HV supply required new LV cabling in preparation for the upgraded LV panel board and the team delivered.

Over just 2 days, we successfully pulled in 500m of 120mm and 95mm SWA β€” nearly 4.5 tonnes of cable installed safely and efficiently.

Great teamwork, solid planning, and another project moving forward on schedule.

One from a few weeks ago that we’ve been too busy to share! πŸ—“οΈ
In very challenging conditions, the team managed to install 144 JA 450w all black panels on the west coast of Scotland. β˜€οΈπŸ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ

Due to the high winds the panels will face, we decided to use the robust Mounting Systems GmbH Proline trapezoidal rail system, which offers greater wind loading capacity. 🌬️

System Specs:
Panels: 144 JA 450w all black panels
Mounting: Mounting Systems GmbH Proline system
Inverter: Connected to a SolaX Power 60kw inverter

We will be back onsite next year to commission the system once the DNO (Distribution Network Operator) has installed a new supply.

Some of the team have been pushing on with works on a large private estate on the west coast of Scotland.

One of the main challenges for this project is getting materials to site. With steep single track roads all materials need to be transported over 1 mile by either Teleporter or tractor and trailer. The closest wholesalers is also an 8 hour round trip!

Over 1km of 150mm SWA cable has already been installed and works on the internal fit out of workshops and biomass plant well underway.

Now it’s a race to fit the 60kw PV install before the weather changes.

Well it’s not quite the 500 miles and 500 more like the proclaimers sang about, but not far off round trip up to the west coast of Scotland for a pre start meeting for our next large project. We have been tasked with the electrical infrastructure and renewable technologies for this large estate. With over 4km of SWA cable to install over difficult terrain, 50kW solar PV, large biomass plant, workshops and 300kva generator. The project will definitely have its logistical challenges but the spectacular views will more than make up for it.

This last couple of weeks the team has been working in some testing conditions installing new LED lights across a variety of sites - from a distribution centre to a marina to a new concrete batching plant.

Why do we never get tasked with these jobs during the summer months!

The team are now flat out until a well earned Christmas break.
