☀️🔥 WE’RE IN A HEATWAVE — STAY HYDRATED! 🔥☀️

Tradies, if you’re out on site in this glorious sunshine, don’t forget the most important tool in your kit today… 💧 water.

Yesterday marked the hottest May day ever recorded in the UK, hitting 33.5°C at Heathrow — and while most of us love a bit of sunshine, working construction in this heat is no joke. 🥵

High temperatures can affect everything on site:
🔸 Adhesives, plaster & paint can dry too quickly
🔸 Concrete can crack if it cures too fast
🔸 Tools and machinery can overheat
🔸 PPE becomes even more uncomfortable to wear

But as always, skilled tradespeople adapt and overcome. 👷‍♂️
Years of experience, problem-solving, and site knowledge mean quality work still gets done — even when the UK decides to feel like the Mediterranean for a week.

☀️ FACT: Construction workers are among the highest-risk professions for heat stress and dehydration during extreme weather. Even mild dehydration can reduce concentration, increase fatigue, and raise the risk of accidents on site.

So here’s your reminder:
✅ Drink water regularly
✅ Take breaks in shaded areas
✅ Wear sunscreen
✅ Check in on your mates
✅ Don’t try to “push through” heat exhaustion

We don’t get heatwaves like this very often in the UK… so maybe we won’t complain too much this time 😎

✨ Decontamination Room Transformation ✨

Swipe to see the transformation from two cramped rooms into one streamlined, compliant and highly functional workspace ➡️

By removing the dividing wall, we created a much larger and more user-friendly decontamination room, designed to maximise both workflow and storage capacity.

🔹 Existing cupboards were removed and replaced with a larger sleek storage unit
🔹 Additional overhead cabinetry installed to fully utilise the available space
🔹 Durable Trespa worktops fitted throughout
🔹 New non-slip Altro safety flooring installed for enhanced safety and practicality
🔹 Clearly defined clean & dirty areas to meet compliance requirements

This project was completed in line with HTM 01-05 (2013 Edition) — the Health Technical Memorandum providing guidance for decontamination in primary care dental practices, ensuring high standards of infection control, sterilisation and patient safety.

A fantastic example of how thoughtful design and compliant fit-outs can completely transform a workspace. 👏

We recently completed the full refurbishment of 24 previously varnished doors, delivering a clean, modern transformation throughout.

Our works included:

⭐ Thorough surface preparation, including sanding back existing finishes
⭐ Careful repairs and making good to ensure a smooth, uniform base
⭐ Application of a high-quality solid grey finish for a sleek, contemporary look

It’s World Art Day today 🎨

It’s a good reminder that design isn’t just about how a space looks, it’s about how it feels to be in. In commercial environments, the difference is often subtle; two spaces can be similar on paper, but feel completely different in reality.

Usually it comes down to things like layout, light, and how the space is used day to day - just like a painting! Not always obvious, but noticeable.

Most people won’t comment on the design directly - they’ll just know whether a space works or not. And that’s usually what matters. 🖼️

The ATEX compliant fit-out to the pouring room for our fragrance client has now been completed!

Delivered over a 4-day programme, the works included:

✔️ Installation of new cabinetry
✔️ Trespa worktops
✔️ Partitioning
✔️ ATEX compliant electrical outlets
✔️ Decoration

The space is now fully operational and aligned with the required safety standards, and looks great too!

Another great example of finding the right solution, not just the most expensive one 💰

A recent client had been told they would need to have their 6no. existing tea points ripped out and replaced with brand new kitchens in order to meet their request for integrated dishwashers. The proposed solution would have cost them a substantial amount of unnecessary money.

At CCM Interiors, we take a different approach.

We always look at how we can achieve the client’s objective in the most practical and cost-effective way. In this case, we were able to retrofit 6no. integrated dishwashers by reusing cabinetry from their redundant tea points, avoiding the need for a full kitchen replacement 🛠️

We also took the opportunity to upgrade the flooring at the same time, improving the overall finish of each area.

A smarter solution, less waste, and better value for the client.

Recently completed - a small dilapidation project for a new client 🤝

After the previous tenants vacated the office, the space needed some light white box works to get it ready for the next occupiers. Our team refreshed the walls and removed the existing vinyls, leaving the office clean, tidy and ready for remarketing or immediate use ✨

A small project, but an important step in helping the client prepare the space for its next chapter.
