Trainee Project Manager – Exhibitions & Events

Are you highly organised, creative, and eager to build a career in the fast-paced world of exhibitions and events? We’re looking for a motivated Trainee Project Manager to join our growing team and support the delivery of exceptional live experiences.

About the Role
As a Trainee Project Manager, you’ll gain hands-on experience working across a variety of exhibitions, trade shows, and live events. Supporting senior project managers, you’ll help bring projects to life from concept through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in planning and delivering exhibition stands and live events
• Coordinate suppliers, contractors, and logistics
• Support budget tracking and project timelines
• Liaise with clients to ensure expectations are met
• Help manage on-site event setup and breakdown
• Maintain project documentation and reports

About You
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• A proactive, can-do attitude with attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Interest in events, exhibitions, or project management
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours when required

Desirable (but not essential)
• Degree or relevant qualification in events, business, or project management
• Previous experience (internship, placement, or part-time) in events or hospitality

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Apprentice Joiner / Handyman to join our growing team based in the Halifax area.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn a wide range of skills while working on varied and interesting projects, including the manufacture and installation of garden rooms, bespoke exhibition stands, and the occasional campervan conversion.

What you’ll be doing:
• Assisting in the manufacture of timber structures and custom builds
• Helping with on-site installations
• Supporting campervan fit-outs and bespoke projects
• General workshop and site duties

What we’re looking for:
• A keen interest in joinery, construction, or hands-on work
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Good work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work as part of a team
• A driving licence would be an advantage but is not essential

🔨 Self-Employed Joiner / Carpenter Required – Exhibition Contracts

We are currently looking for an experienced self-employed Joiner / Carpenter to work with us on a range of exhibition and event build projects.

This is a subcontractor role, ideal for a reliable tradesperson with strong bench and on-site experience, who takes pride in delivering high-quality finishes within fast-paced environments.

The Role:
• Building bespoke exhibition stands and display units
• Interpreting and working from technical drawings
• Workshop-based build work
• On-site installation and dismantle (some travel may be required)
• Working to tight deadlines while maintaining high standards

What We’re Looking For:
• Proven experience in joinery/carpentry (exhibition or shopfitting experience highly desirable)
• Own tools and transport
• UTR number (self-employed status essential)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible approach to hours and project-based work
