A beautiful traditional cobbled entrance completed, with over 10 tonnes of cobbles carefully laid to create this timeless finish.
To keep the look and character truly traditional, the cobbles were hand pointed using the traditional bird’s-beak pointing method with a sand and cement mix. This gives the joints that distinctive, neat, slightly raised finish associated with traditional cobbled work, while providing a strong and durable joint.
We also installed ACO drainage channels to ensure effective surface water drainage and help protect the new entrance for years to come.
From the preparation and groundwork, through to laying and individually pointing the cobbles, this project required a lot of time, precision and attention to detail. The finished result combines traditional craftsmanship with modern drainage, creating an entrance that is both practical and full of character.
Another project completed to the highest standard. 👌
