After what has been a very relentless and stressful summer , a holiday was well and truly needed.

People often under estimate the stress of running a business and then physically doing the work too.

After the wettest May on record and then the hottest June on record we were severely behind schedule. Combine that with regular temperatures hitting over 30• and we just simply couldn’t get through the work quick enough.

This took a toll not only on our schedule & customer care but also on our bodies , both physically and mentally.

We would like to thank those patient customers for understanding while we worked as quick as humanly possible.

We still have a couple more to catch up on but we have got through the worst of it and can see light at the end of the tunnel.

This being said , a recent family holiday was just the tonic that was needed. Phone off & sun cream on, a chance to attempt to switch off , rest and re focus.

We’re now back and ready to go.

Never under estimate the stress of running a business or the importance of taking a break and having family time.

Those relentless summer months it’s hard to get the work / life balance right.

We did get a couple projects over the line before the holiday so here’s a bit of a photo dump!

On to the next we go. 💪

After a very stressful few weeks. We’ve had some real hot weather. Delays. Jobs on hold.
And everything inbetween!

Just seems like we’re getting no further with our schedule.

Like a hamster on a wheel !

But….

Today was an absolute treat.

Albie made us a thankyou card and gave us the coolest rock he could find , along with a tub of celebrations for each of the team.

He now has a lovely grass to play on, while mum & dad have the much awaited bbq area.

Honestly made all the hard work and recent stress absolutely worth it.

As local traders , we get to know many other local traders.

So when we recommend someone , you can trust our recommendation.

Wether it be tree surgeons , electricians , general builders , plasterer / renderers etc etc

Especially if the job is connected to ours.

A known company that we trust will work around us , respect our work and our customers so that everyone is happy.

Last week the neighbour to our current project wanted a large tree removed. So we called in our professional friends at a.d.tree & garden care Ayden swiftly popped round to discuss the Job , check access and offer a competitive price.

Ayden knew that our new fence and patio next to the area of the tree was imminent so he quoted to safely remove the tree and stump whilst keeping the area clean , tidy and safe so we could get to work straight after.

The customer chose to go with someone else. A cheaper quote from a company that we didn’t know and in turn nobody liaised with us regarding the tree removal and how it would affect our job.

They did it this weekend not to our or our customers knowledge. We came in today to see bits of tree all over the garden we are working in, where our customer said they were just dropping branches into her garden.

Not only leaving us with a mess to tidy on our prepped patio area but also broke the new fence panel that we had installed.

So now the neighbour will be getting a bill from us and will probably regret the cheaper quote.

I understand that people want to save money. But I really do think that known trusted recommendations go a lot further than the cheapest quote on Facebook.

Lesson learnt.

Well… this was certainly a stressful week!

Weather.sweating. Staff. Football. Sweating. Deliveries. Diggers not fitting. Argentina and more sweating.

But we are in a decent position with our current project.

A well earned rest this weekend !

**TRANSFORMATION COMPLETE**

Our customers had a clear image. Somewhere open , safe and inviting for both them and there young daughter to enjoy. Plenty of room for planting and entertaining.

Out went the rotten dangerous decking , sleepers and uneven patio.

In went new sub base , sleeper beds, new back gate and porcelain tiles.

We’re back in the week for a new shed door too.

It was a hot one but we got through it thanks to plenty of cold drinks breaks from our lovely customers.

**TRANSFORMATION COMPLETE**

Megan & Connor got in touch. They were in need of a fresh new patio and to sort there drainage issues out.

Out came the very uneven rocky patio and rotten timber retaining wall.

In went our Acco drains , grey porcelain tiles finished off with some decorative shingle.

We built a retaining wall with a new step too and even managed to rip out the old front path and broken edging stones and replaced with Kandla grey sandstone.

All out and all in , in just over 3 days.

We’ve now quoted for phase two of the garden and the customers Mum wants us to pop by for a quote too.

Great effort from the team to catch up on our very busy and slightly behind schedule.

**Transformation complete**

James & Chelsea got in touch , needing a new and bigger patio for those summer nights , entertaining friends or just chilling with there dog “Boycie”

So out came the mix & match old patio , some
of the lawn and In went our MOT sub base , 3 recessed man hole covers and these beautiful porcelain tiles.

Ready for James to put some sleepers in for edging and get the parasol up !

Our customers kept us fueled on ice cold cherry coke and bacon rolls , an absolute treat !
