🔑A Code Lock Replacement For Esso🔑

Although 95% of our work is residential, we do a fair bit of work for commercial customers too.

A late night call from the Esso Garage in Harold Wood this week, as their code lock had failed.

🔑 Facebook is great (sometimes) 🔑

So we replaced some window hinges for a customer in Upminster on Friday. I do try and remember to ask customers where they got our details from to help with marketing.

Anyway the customer got my details from Google. They went on to say “I wouldn’t use Facebook again”. Unfortunately the customer had asked on Facebook groups for a recommended locksmith, to which there were 5/6 recommendations for this said locksmith.

As great as facebook is, please bare in mind trades people have friends and family on Facebook, so it’s not difficult to get them to comment recommending each other. (why wouldn’t they).

When looking for a trades person Google maps is so much better and more reliable. Try getting friends and family to write 75 Google reviews 😬. Doable but harder then getting a few friends to recommend you on a Facebook post.

This customer paid over £300 for a standard locking mechanism most locksmiths charge around £175/£200 for.

Every trades person is entitled to charge what they want and maybe the £125 isn’t important to some people but if it is GET 3 QUOTES!

At a time where money can be tight and every pound counts why paid more then you need too?

A few interesting jobs today.

A cat flap removal and 3 diamond grade locks supplied & fitted for a customer in Harold Wood as well as 2 door adjustments for customers in Harold Hill and Hornchurch.

Our final job was a Millenco replacement.

A couple of slightly different jobs today.

Instead the more common jobs like window hinge repairs, lock changes and glass replacements, today we installed a code lock and 2 bedroom locks for a customer in Hornchurch, replaced a failed garage lock for a customer in Collier Row and also managed to fit in installing 2 trickle vents and a window child safety lock for another customer in Hornchurch.
