We love seeing the results of our hard work! 🤩⚽
Penzance AFC recently sent us this fantastic clip of their pitch — just 4 weeks after we completed their end-of-season renovations.

Works carried out included:
✅ Scarifying in 2 directions
✅ Eco dressing
✅ 60 tonnes of sports sand applied
✅ Double disc seeding in 3 directions
✅ Controlled release fertiliser application

The pitch is looking superb and is a real credit to Billy and everyone involved down at Penzance AFC 👏
We’d love to see more transformation results from our clients, so don’t hesitate to send your photos and videos in! 📸

This week our team carried out two different types of top dressing treatments to help improve playing surfaces for our customers. ⚽🌱

Our first visit was to Sticker AFC, where we used our GKB Eco Dresser. This machine creates a fantastic sustainable top dressing solution, while also providing the added benefits of linear aeration and an additional stone sieve for an even cleaner finish. We use an RTK guidance system which allows us to carry out the task accurately and efficiently. 🛰️

We also visited Falmouth Football Club, where we carried out hollow coring using our Toro Soil Reliever. This process removes small sections of soil from the pitch. However it also helps to relieve compaction and improve drainage.

Both sites had our drag mat over the pitch to integrate the top dressing with the surface and then followed up with seeding in two directions.

It’s been great to work with both new and returning customers this week. We truly appreciate your support and look forward to continuing to work together to keep improving your playing surfaces for the future. 🙌

A busy day in Devon yesterday! 🚜🌱

We completed vertidraining and overseeding on 5 rugby pitches across two clubs, with seed applied in two directions and an additional two passes carried out on the heavily worn areas to aid recovery and improve coverage.

✅ 5 pitches completed
✅ Nearly 1 tonne of seed used
✅ Approximately 1.5 million holes punched into the surface
✅ One very long day!

A big effort all round, but great to get the work done in ideal conditions and help set the pitches up for a strong recovery. 💪

We really appreciate your business and thank you for your patience in this busy period.

Double trouble down at Perranporth Rugby Club yesterday! 💪🌱

We kicked things off with some deep tine aeration, achieving as much depth as possible to improve ground conditions.

The pitch was then seeded in 4 directions, along with 2 additional passes over all the heavily worn areas using one of our Vredo disc seeders 🚜

Meanwhile, the Redexim Verti-Drainer moved on to carry out further aeration work at Goonhavern AFC

A huge thank you to all of our customers for your continued support, patience, and understanding during this extremely busy time of year — it’s greatly appreciated! 🙌

Our AMAZONE profihopper has recently completed a few jobs with restricted access, carrying out a cut-and-collect service. 🌱

The first job required several passes, as the grass was extremely long and needed cutting down tight to the ground before we could carry out some levelling and reseeding.

Another job was completed at a local rugby club in preparation for their end-of-season maintenance.

Take a look through the photos below 📸

Over the past couple of weeks both of our Vredo double disc seeders have been out putting seed in the ground at 35mm spacings, which allows the best germination rate possible 🌱

April and May are the ideal months for overseeding—soil temperatures are rising, moisture levels are still good, and grass has the best chance to establish quickly before summer stress kicks in.

Using our Vredo double disc seeder, we place the seed directly into the soil with minimal disruption. This means:
🌱 Excellent seed-to-soil contact for faster, more even germination
🌱 Reduced waste compared to broadcasting
🌱Stronger, denser swards that improve yield and quality
🌱Minimal downtime – fields can be back in use sooner

WHAT WOULD YOU CHOOSE ?
Traditional sports sand top dressing… or Eco Dressing?
Why not have both? 👇

At Penzance AFC we recently carried out scarifying in two directions, followed by a top quality sports sand top dressing — and they’ve also opted to go one step further with Eco Dressing ♻️
Using our GKB EcoDresser with an additional stone screen and GPS guidance, we delivered a solution that combines performance with sustainability.
The benefits of Eco Dressing include:

🌱3 jobs completed in just one pass
🌱 Linear aeration
🌱 Nutrient-rich top dressing
🌱 Improved pitch levelling
🌱 Eco-friendly, sustainable approach

Groundsmen, what’s your go-to approach this season? Are you sticking with tradition, making the switch, or combining both?

This week our robotic GPS line marker Turf Tank has been busy all across Cornwall, helping schools and sports facilities get ready for the summer sports and athletics season ☀️🏃‍♂️

At Penrice Academy, we completed an extensive setup including:
• 6 lane 400m track
• 6 additional lanes on the 100m straight
• Shot put, javelin, and discus areas
• 4 rounders pitches
• A 10m rectangle with 20 x 2m lanes alongside it

Precision, efficiency, and a flawless finish every time – that’s the power of GPS line marking.

If you're preparing your facilities for the upcoming season, now is the perfect time to upgrade your marking process.

👉 What would you mark first with a robotic line marker? Let us know in the comments!

Yesterday we had the pleasure of working with Penzance AFC, scarifying their main pitch in two directions, all material was collected and removed and tipped off site. Thank you for your business !

Whilst conditions have allowed, we’ve been busy carrying out some much-needed deep cleaning on some astro turf pitches ⚽✨

This involves, raking the pitch, bringing all the rubber crumb to the surface and finally brushing it all back in.

Regular deep cleaning is essential to keep the surface performing at its best. It helps to:
✔️ Improve drainage and prevent waterlogging
✔️ Reduce compaction in the rubber crumb
✔️ Remove debris, dust, and litter
✔️ Extend the life of the pitch
✔️ Provide a safer, higher-quality playing surface

Keeping a pitch in top condition means better performance and a better experience for everyone using it 🙌
