Few pictures sent in from Connor McDonald, one of our handcutters, as he was felling off a badger sett alongside our scorpion giant this week 🌲

Just popped up in memories from 1 year ago our Ponnse Buffalo and Even Forestry Ltd’s 1270g. Contractors working alongside each other getting the job done 💪🏻 🌲

Working away with the loan machine that Ponsse UK have been good enough to give us whilst one of ours is in the workshop getting warranty work done. Smaller head and a couple of years older than we would normally use but Liddle Forestry are making it work!

🌲 Chainsaw Operators Wanted – Natural Regeneration Removal Team.

Due to an increasing workload, we’re looking to expand our regen team and are looking for chainsaw operators to join us.

We’re looking for people who:

- Have common sense and a good attitude to work
- Are self-employed
- Have their own vehicle (preferred)
- Are local to Kielder or within a reasonable travelling distance
- Have their own PPE
- Hold a minimum of Chainsaw Cross-Cutting & Small Trees tickets
- Have First Aid + Forestry
- Can work safely and as part of a team

We’re happy to consider both experienced chainsaw operators and less experienced people who are looking to build their skills and gain more practical forestry experience.

The work will be mainly in the Kielder area, although there may be work further afield from time to time.

Liddle Forestry have an excellent reputation for our work quality standards and expect them to be upheld at all times. Our already established teams all work together to uphold these standards and we would expect any new operators to do the same.

We have a large and increasing workload, so there is regular work available for the right people who are reliable, work well as part of a team and have the right attitude.

For the right people, there is also the opportunity to develop your skills and work your way up through the company, with the potential to progress into roles supporting our harvesting teams.

📍 Kielder area

Greedy shift for Forestry England this Saturday, with our Valtra 8450 with 9.5 remote control Uniforest winch. We’ve owned this tractor for 16 years but in that time it’s had 3 new winch’s on it keeping it ready to pull🌲
