✨ Welcome to 2026 ✨

We are so excited for the year ahead. We’re starting the year with some truly beautiful completions, including this incredible renovation — a two-storey extension and full transformation, with the scaffolding just coming down. It honestly feels like a brand new home, and we couldn’t be more proud of the result. 🏡

January is already shaping up to be an exciting month, with meetings booked to chat with new clients about their hopes, needs, and wants for their homes in 2026. We love nothing more than helping ideas take shape and turning visions into spaces that really work for the people who live in them.

We’re so grateful for the continued support, encouragement, and trust from our wonderful community, it truly means everything to us.

Brookmead | Ground and First floor Rear and Side Extension Update 🏡✨
Beautifully laid screedast week and first fix is coming along brilliantly — we honestly can’t believe the pace of this project! Huge thanks to our trusty Porotherm blocks which continue to prove themselves as an economical, sustainable, and highly efficient way to build. We’ve been using this system for over 10 years now, and it never fails to deliver.

✨ A Local Transformation – 52 Brookmead, Hildenborough ✨

If you’re local to Hildenborough, you may have noticed quite a bit of activity at 52 Brookmead over the past few months!

Family purchased the property back in January, and since then it’s been a huge project — completely transformed from top to bottom.

Here’s a little of what’s been achieved so far:
🏡 Completely gutted and refurbished throughout
⚡ Fully rewired and replumbed
💧 New mains installed
🏗️ Roof removed, lifted, and replaced allowing for fantastic loft conversion
🧱 Foundations dug for a two-storey rear and side extension which should be water tight in the next few weeks. Screeding tomorrow!!
📐 Reconfiguration of the existing layout to maximise space and flow, making the space useable whilst work continues.

All of this has been achieved in just nine months, alongside three other local projects this year, something we’re incredibly proud of. None of it would have been possible without the hard work, knowledge, and commitment of Ken and his team.

At Avocet, we’re passionate about raising standards and showing what’s possible when experience, planning, and care come together. If you’re curious to see what can be achieved in under a year, 52 Brookmead is a great example.

This Hildenborough family wanted a porch that helped blend the hung tiles on the original part of their home with the rendered extension (also by us) They gave our team a basic sketch and description and this is the most wonderful result. Our experienced team have so much advice and insight to offer, even when you’re not sure what you want or how it could look, they will guide you.

Our most recent project in Tonbridge was thoughtfully transforming part of a garage into a beautiful, accessible bathroom to support the evolving needs of the owners. The process initially felt overwhelming for the couple, but we sent in our wonderful interior pro to guide them every step of the way — from choosing tiles to selecting the right shower layout. With care, compassion, and practical know-how, we helped turn a daunting project into a space that brings daily comfort.

Avocet Director Charlee is fundraising for a special cause.

RAISING MONEY FOR MY PRESCHOOL
As most know I am heavily involved as a volunteer committee chair at what was the children's pre-school. Yes that's right, they are not there and yet I still am. And my pre-school doesn't feel too strong, that's how I feel, I am hooked on them.
Stocks Green Pre-School and it's most incredible team, children and fellow committee members have etched a permanent place in my heart and I feel bound to do all I can to ensure it survives and thrives the way it helped William and Darcey to.
Early Years Education is crucial to our young people and yet it is, like everything our government should be responsible for, underfunded and under resourced. Our role as the committee is to help bridge that gap with solid business plans and fundraising.
So I am, with some of the team and committee, counting on my donkey legs to walk 26.2 miles in our beautiful countryside to raise money for vital building maintenance, heating and cooling systems and hopefully a little extra for incredible outdoor resources for the children.
I am here asking you to make a donation to support our efforts, not just on the walk, but the effort we pour into this volunteering role everyday. If we didn't do it, the pre-school would be handed over to the council and that would break my heart. So thats why I'm staying without the children even being there, it's why I am walking and it's why I am asking for your support.
