At Vision Arch, we believe that investing in our people is investing in the quality, safety and long-term success of every project we deliver.

As the construction industry continues to evolve, particularly under the requirements of the Building Safety Act, competence, compliance and continuous professional development have never been more important.

That's why we're committed to providing ongoing training and development opportunities across the business, from project managers and site supervisors through to our installation teams. We ensure our people have the knowledge, skills, and practical experience to deliver at the highest standards, which is a key part of our culture and one of our core values.

Recently, members of the Vision Arch team attended Schüco UK and Ireland's Partner Academy, completing GQA-accredited training covering curtain wall design, fabrication and installation, including the FWS 50 system. Our long-standing partnership with Schüco gives our teams access to training programmes that help build, document, and maintain competence in façade design, installation, and compliance.

We're proud to see our team continuing to develop their expertise and strengthen the skills that support the safe, compliant and high-quality delivery of façade projects throughout the UK.

A huge thank you to Nike Annison and Daniel Wilson for delivering such valuable training, and to the wider Schüco team for their continued support, expertise and commitment to raising standards across the industry.

We’re pleased to have completed our work at Jahn Court, Regent Quarter, a major redevelopment project delivered in collaboration with Multiplex and Piercy&Company as part of the wider transformation of Regent Quarter into a state-of-the-art life sciences campus in the heart of King’s Cross.

Our team was responsible for the design, supply, and installation of the building’s new contemporary façade to the extended east elevation, alongside extensive fourth-floor additions, a new fifth floor, roof-level extensions, and the replacement of key building entrances. The works formed part of a complex cut-and-carve refurbishment that introduced significant new floor space, carefully retaining and respecting important elements of the original structure.

The redevelopment has transformed the existing six-storey building into approximately 100,000 sq ft of high-quality laboratory and office accommodation, creating a flexible environment that supports the evolving needs of the life sciences sector and meets ambitious sustainability targets.

We’re proud to have played our part in delivering this technically challenging and transformative project, helping create a future-focused life sciences hub that preserves the character and heritage of this important King’s Cross location.

A great day on site at Queen Mary University of London, where our focus remains firmly on safety, competence, and delivering work to the highest standards.

Our site operatives took part in HAKI Edge Protection Training, delivered by the HAKI team. The session provided valuable insight into the edge protection system, covering product knowledge, technical guidance, inspection requirements, and best practices for safe use on-site. Alongside this, operatives also completed Leading Edge training, further strengthening awareness and competence when working in challenging environments where robust planning and safe systems of work are essential.

Investing in training is critical to ensuring our teams have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to work safely and efficiently. It's great to see such strong engagement from everyone involved as we continue progressing works on this important project for Queen Mary University of London, delivered in partnership with Willmott Dixon.

A big thank you to the trainers and all operatives who took part.

Earlier this month, we took advantage of the beautiful weather for a fantastic Golf Day at Cambridge Country Club ⛳️☀️

Set in an amazing location, the day was a great opportunity for the team to step away from the office, enjoy some friendly competition, and spend quality time together outside of the usual work environment.

From great shots to great conversations, it was a brilliant day all around and a reminder of how important it is to make time to connect, unwind, and celebrate the people behind the business. A huge thank you to everyone who made the day such a success; already looking forward to the next one!

✨ Multi-Disciplined Façades: Delivering Complete Building Envelope Solutions

Modern façades demand far more than a single system approach. Today’s projects require integrating multiple materials, systems, and specialist disciplines to achieve the architectural vision and meet complex performance, safety, and sustainability requirements.

At Vision Arch, multi-disciplined façade solutions are a core part of our expertise. Our experience spans a wide range of façade systems, including glazing, curtain walling, cladding, and steel window systems, delivered across a variety of materials such as zinc, GRC, natural stone, terracotta, aluminium, and glass.

The successful integration of multiple façade systems requires careful coordination from the earliest design stages. Considerations such as interface detailing, structural movement, thermal performance, fire compliance, weathering, and buildability all play a critical role in ensuring long-term performance and efficient on-site installation. From glazed façades and specialist cladding systems to bespoke architectural finishes, Vision Arch continues to deliver integrated building envelope solutions across a diverse range of sectors and developments.

Projects such as Wells House, 60-72 Shorts Gardens, and The Smith demonstrate our ability to deliver complex, multi-disciplined façade packages across a variety of architectural contexts.

Proud to have received recognition from Schüco for our commitment to reducing embodied carbon through the fabrication of Schüco Low Carbon aluminium profiles since April 2026.

As part of the Schüco Carbon Control initiative, this achievement reflects a saving of approximately 3.27 tonnes of CO2e per tonne of aluminium profile compared to standard Schüco aluminium profiles, equating to a 46% reduction in CO2e.

Sustainability continues to play an increasingly important role across our industry, and we are committed to supporting the transition towards lower-carbon construction through the systems and materials we fabricate and install.

Thank you to Schüco for the recognition and continued partnership.

✨ Glass Atriums in Modern Architecture
Glass atriums are a key strategic feature in modern UK buildings, transforming internal environments by allowing natural light to flood deep into the core of a structure.

Historically, the concept of the atrium dates back to ancient Roman architecture, where it formed an open central court surrounded by enclosed rooms. The evolution of materials and construction techniques during the 19th-century industrial revolution, particularly advances in iron and glass, enabled the introduction of glazed roofs, paving the way for today’s modern atrium spaces.

Contemporary glass atrium design has developed further, often incorporating full-height, floor-to-floor glazing systems. Key considerations in the design and delivery of glass atriums include fire and smoke control, as well as barrier protection and fall prevention. These factors are critical in ensuring both compliance and occupant safety without compromising architectural intent.

At Vision Arch, we have extensive experience in the design, manufacture, and installation of glass atrium solutions. Early engagement on projects allows us to add value at the design stage, helping to optimise buildability, manage risk, and support budget control.

Recent projects, including 20 Old Bailey, Arcadia, and 2 Gresham Street, demonstrate our experience in delivering complex glass atrium solutions within high-profile developments.
