Our Liebherr has been kept busy recently on site!

This project required very dry ground conditions, and we've certainly had plenty of that this week! The machine has been working hard to help make these popular 250-acre gardens safer for the thousands of visitors who enjoy them throughout the year.

Great to see another successful job progressing smoothly in perfect conditions. 🌳🚜

🌳 Recent Work at a Local Church ⛪

We recently completed tree works at a local church, carefully managing two trees while ensuring minimal impact on the surrounding grounds.

✅ Ash tree removal – An Ash tree affected by Ash Dieback was situated alongside a footpath and close to the entrance of the churchyard. Due to its declining condition and location, the tree was safely dismantled and removed, with the stump subsequently ground out.

✅ Conifer stump removal – A dead conifer stump, heavily covered in ivy, was also removed and cut down to ground level.

To protect the churchyard, pathways, and surrounding landscape, we utilised our Magni lifting equipment, allowing us to carry out the work safely and efficiently while minimising disturbance to the site.

A great example of using the right equipment and careful planning to look after both public safety and the surrounding environment. 🌿

🐝🌼 JDBees Update! 🌼🐝

The hive has been buzzing with activity over the past few weeks, and this time it was Lee's turn to suit up and get up close and personal with the colony! 👀🍯

One of the highlights was successfully finding our Queen and giving her a pink mark 👑💗. Not only does this make her easier to spot during inspections, but it's always a great moment to see the heart of the hive up close.

The JDBees were quick to welcome their Queen back after her brief outing, surrounding her with plenty of attention as she returned to her royal duties! 🐝👑

It's amazing to see the colony growing and thriving, and we're learning something new every time we open the hive.

🚨🌳Emergency Tree Work Completed 🚨🌳

Our team was recently called out after a large Monterey Pine unexpectedly failed, causing damage to a property and blocking vital access routes.

Upon arrival, our priority was to make the site safe and restore the access. We carefully removed large fallen limbs from the house and surrounding areas before dismantling and removing the remaining sections of the tree.

This was a substantial job, requiring careful planning and teamwork to safely clear the tree, protect the property, and restore access as quickly as possible.

A fantastic effort from the team, who worked efficiently to get everything cleared and leave the site safe and tidy once again. 💪

Another garden transformation completed! 🌿☀️

We’ve carefully cut back and reshaped trees, shrubs, and planting throughout this garden to create a cleaner, more balanced outdoor space that’s ready to be enjoyed all summer long.

From reducing and reshaping trees to trimming hedges and cutting back overgrown areas, every part of the garden has been given the attention it needed to restore structure, improve light, and enhance the overall appearance.

The result is a much tidier garden that feels more tranquil, open, and inviting – the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunny months ahead. ☀️

Ryan and Phil spent the day yesterday on their First Aid + Forestry Medical First Aid course. The Mediarb course covers everything our team needs to know to work safely and respond effectively to emergencies in the tree surgery and forestry industries.

It was great to catch up with Annie again - She was very happy to see them too!! 🌳⛑️

🚧🌳 Recent highway project completed safely and efficiently.

Following a tree survey, this mature oak was identified as having a significant basal cavity on the eastern side and a hollow stem, presenting an increased risk due to its position overhanging the highway.

In line with the recommendations, we carefully monolithed the tree into a habitat pole, retaining valuable ecological benefits while removing the risk. Using the Magni, tracked MEWP, and lorry bin, our team safely dismantled and removed the timber under a full road closure.

A great example of balancing public safety with habitat conservation. ✅
